Hawkstar and I were discussing on our chat thread about the possibilities of CBer backstories: for example, how are you supposed to know I'm not [to quote directly] a "54-year old retired pro golfer named Clyde who lives in Missouri and has a snow globe collection and a passion for inventing foolish stories to trick poor unsuspecting whippersnappers"? YOU DON'T
we thought it'd be fun to generate some ideas for ridiculous real-life possible guises for CBers! what do I seem like to y'all?

OKAY. Here's everything for real now that I have time to sit and think :)
@Hex, I imagine you as a shady personage who lurks around in dark alleys and jumps out at unsuspecting kids to play video games on their phones??

@Luna Silvermoon, you'd be that kid who wears fandom(?) hoodies and lives life bouncing around on the moon- hey!, maybe you and Parody know each other ;)
@Moon Wolf, you'd be that girl who lives in a forest - in a cozy cave - and lives a life as an artist: drawing/writing about the wonders of the forest around you by day and exploring the woods as a wolf by night
@Seadragon, you seem like a girl who swims through the ocean and coral reefs and colorful fish all day every day, occasionally waving at tourist/cruise/other boats passing by as you float on your back and bask in the sun
@Poinsettia, you seem like that bright and happy girl who frolics through wheat fields (you heard me right, not meadows, wheat fields - idk, the gold of wheat just seems so you?) and also finds time to type at her typewriter staring out the window
@Lord Entropy, you seem like another shady personage, except that you run wild in the school halls generally being mischievous and spilling all sorts of pencils and stacks of paper and lapel pins out of your open backpack as you cause chaos. Somehow, you find a way to do this the entire school day??
@Zeal, honestly maybe an aspiring/already rocket scientist (ooh! Maybe you were the one who sent Parody and moth to the moon!) who builds robots in your free time and is secretly planning to take over the world with robot philosophy??
@Scuttles, you'd be that kid who's scribbled all over their (I hope they/them is fine? I think you're genderfluid? Tell me if I'm wrong with/should fix anything though :) ) backpack and either opens jars of creepy-crawlies to let them roam in classrooms (hm, maybe you and LE work together?) or gathers all the scuttling creatures of the world and gives them their own little utopia to live in
@Gloomy, I'd imagine you as a snarky teenaged girl who's not quite a vampire but might as well be and spends her time lurking by the window and peeking outside at the moon. You're virtually nocturnal and have fangs.
@Amethyst, I'd imagine a girl who lives in a crystal cave lit with the light of a thousand amethysts- you also regularly take time to go frolic/type/stare-out-the-window with Poinsettia (you bring your old record player during these meet-ups)
@Cocoa cat, I think of a girl who wears a brown cat ear headband and is thought of at shy at school but when she gets home she climbs the highest tree and sits with her sketchpad/book and watches the clouds move across the sky- she only gets hit by birds every once in a while

you seem like a girl who lives on a small goat farm with her kindly grandmother and a rather persnickety cat. you wear your hair in two braids, wear long floral dresses, and are known far and wide for your delicious banana bread.

interesting! it's not that close to what I'm really like - I'd actually be more likely to wear one braid or a ponytail, and I don't much like banana bread, but I enjoyed reading your description :)

um, not to sound pushy or anything, and I'm sure you didn't mean it that way, but your description of Overmorrow sounds a little hurtful to me. It makes it seem like you're trying to say that Overmorrow isn't very intelligent, which Overmorrow certainly is. I don't think we should say things like that on the CB, or at least use a kinder tone, to avoid anyone getting hurt feelings unintentionally.

Sorry, that was completely unintentional. I was just trying to find something silly and fun and wacky to say and I didn't really think it through fully. My sincerest apologies to Overmorrow and everyone else, and thank you Poinsettia for pointing that out. I'll do better in the future.
And here's a new one for Overmorrow:
Overmorrow is a neon purple lizard of approximately 23.4 epochs old who loves Trolli sour gummy worms. They are a professional painter, and their preferred medium is various fruit jams on canvas. They invented the nuclear reactor as well as peanut butter. They have a pet rock name Bob.
And here's one for Poinsettia, while I'm at it:
Poinsettia is a sentient poinsettia plant. They are older than time itself and possibly created the universe. Their favorite hobby is carving statues of meditating frogs to be placed in gardens, which they sell at their local garden center. When not carving, they spend their time soaking up the sun with their leafy leaves and creating pocket dimensions.

This is a cool idea! My brain is pretty much dead right now since I didn't really sleep that well last night but enough about that.....
I might be able to scrape my brain cells to think of some ridiculous CBer backstories
@Hex, I imagine you'd be a silver cat who wears spectacles and headphones to listen and read books. (I don't know maybe I just read too much about cats today)
@Endless_Parodies, I'd imagine you to be a teen with blonde hair who likes to play music in the meadows and draw portraits of people who don't exist
Agh, I was just informed to get off my computer so these....backstory imaginings will come trickling in tomorrow I guess :/

Hmmm, let's see. I imagine you to be an elegant lady who wears a midnight blue gown and has a parasol with stars that dangle from it. You sit on a crescent moon in the universe and control the constellations as the seasons change.
(btw, astronomy has always been my worst subject but that's the kind of vibe I get from you)

...I'm having some trouble imagining any-sort-of-backstory-whatsoever-for-any-CBer right now, but I'm extremely curious about what I seem like other than what I've disclosed about myself (I was once told that I was like a raincloud of nervousness and anxiety, and another time that I was like a turtle because I'm really quiet, but other than that, I don't know what ppl think of me, so...)
