Hello... So I have a major problem...

I like this one guy, right. And I'm like 90% sure he likes me too--as in, we text every day, he's pretty flirty with me, really protective and super kind) but I'm not allowed to date until--cough--college. My mother has high expectations. That, sorry Mother, likely won't happen. But I'm not even in high school yet, I'm going into 8th grade, and somehow I think dating this person won't go well even in freshman year.

I'm stressed he's going to ask me out, scared that if I say yes, I'll have to secretly date him, which I really don't want...and idk. Ugh my life is hectic rn.  Anyway I need help because i have no clue what to do and I've never dated anyone and....bleh.

So any advice? Also you're free to guess who i am.....if you can...

If he likes you that much, he'll probably understand why it wouldn't work to date him then if he asks, and until you can date you can just be really good friends.

yeah thank you sinosoidal--I just kind of want to date this guy, and im afraid if I don't also, then he'll get over me? Idk. haha i have such a predicament.

Maybe you can do something similar? Like invite him over to your house under the completely true pretense of a friend coming over. Just tell your mum it's a friend not a boyfriend.

Yeah... that  sucks. I was once in the same boat, actually. Two years ago, there was this cute boy that I was somewhat friends with. We would talk a lot and I thought he was pretty great (He was my first big crush). I knew he liked me back but I also knew my mum wouldn't let me date till highschool. But at the same time I liked him a lot: he was the first person I'd come out to, the person I always looked for in every class. So I told him that I liked him... I also told him that I wasn't ready to date hime yet and he said he was cool with that and we moved on. (We've now been dating for almost a year >U<)

Overall, my advice: be honest with him and, if he truly likes you, he'll be okay with your descisions!

Welll....

I got rejected. By him. Woooooooooo.....Which just honestly sucks. And I totally didn't expect that. So. 

I guess it's good? now i don't have to worry about all the other stuff? But at the same time--I really, really liked him. And being homeschooled, I don't have that many options--or if I do, they're dating someone else or aroace. 

Anyway. I need a hug. :(
