Ayyy hello there! So I could've posted this literally anywhere else and am kind of already feeling like I should've but I'm already doing this so I guess I'll finish-

Um so I saw you're back for a bit and I was wondering:

1. Want to start the date we were talking about with Callum and Ronin (Calrin? Ronum?) if you have time? Ik you're already doing something with Dawn and Arden with Armarillis and I don't want to stress you out so if you're not up for it rn than that's fine! 

2. Have you seen Across the Spider-Verse yet?

3. Bc I'm bugging you, you should at least get some free music recs out of it, so lemme find some off my various playlists for you (though honestly you know so much more indie than me that if even one of these is new to you I'll be happy XD) -

Back At You by Pamelo (I think you'd like this band! Kind of a summery vibe)

Bubble Gum by Clairo (it's kinda sad but I think it's mostly supposed to be about regret in a way that sort of reminds me of Dawn? Like wishing you had courage to do things you want to do and say things you want to say but feeling like you can't)

Ah yes hi!! I missed you!!

1. Yes yes ofc! I've been thinking about them again. Since it's summer now I don't have schoolwork to worry about so I should be good!! Thanks for considering that though <33 We could do it on this thread if you'd like?

2. YES I HAVE ITS SO GOOD- Who's your favorite character(s)? I personally love Pavitr and The Spot <3

3.I actually only knew Bubble Gum lol. I loved the other ones though, ty!! Especially Dizzy, I actually started kind of dancing when it played-

4. I have a Ronum/Calrin playlist. If you would like to hear it. For one of the songs though I can't share the title because it's inappropriate :/

2. I love Pavitr too! He's so adorable <3 but I also thought The Spot was fantastic, and I loved Gwen (her backstory was ACCURATE TO THE COMICS MY LITTLE NERD SELF WAS SO HAPPY-) Hobie was cool too. And Peter and Mayday - can you tell I'm indecisive?

2. AH I LOVED GWEN IN THIS ONE TOO- I love she was alluded to being trans, its just is so comforting (?) to me...  AND MAYDAY WAS SO CUTE OMG

1. Sure! I think we decided it'd be a record store date last time, and they'd eventually confess? If that still works for you, maybe the idea could be that they're meeting at/near the coffee shop after Callum's shift is over? Or do you have something else in mind?

2. I also liked that Gwen was alluded to being trans! And yes Mayday = pure cuteness

Okay, as long as that's really okay with you, then we'll go with Ronum!  

YEAH NIMONA! But picking a favorite part is hard! I did love seeing Ballister and Ambrosius's adorable romance (I'm kind of a hopeless romantic and a sucker for queer romances in particular, plus we didn't get nearly enough of Ballister and Ambrosius in the comic), so I might say that. But I also just loved Nimona herself. Plus Nimona and Ballister's friendship - I love how they make each other generally better, and less alone. It's all just so beautiful <33 though I guess you were asking for my favorite scene in particular lol. I did love the scene where Nimona had just broken Ballister out of the dungeons and we got to see the first of her shapeshifting abilities.

Surprisingly, the town isn't that busy. You would think that in the early afternoon, everyone would be out and about, but apparently that isn't the case. There are a few stray AEs and CBers in the park, but not many.

My stomach is twisted with knots. Why am I so nervous? It's just going to a record store. Nothing ridiculous. It's not like it's some sort of fancy dinner or anything- not like that would ever happen though. I doubt we'll ever really talk much after this. I mean, after he really gets to know me, he probably wouldn't even want to see me again!

But I'm still going. Might as well try, I guess.

As I make my way to the coffee shop, I notice Callum inside, still standing at the counter. I smile when I see him and almost run to the door. He makes me so happy, for no reason. He's just so cool.

I step into the shop and wave nervously. Here we go...

My shift is going to be over right after I finish this mocha, and then I'm free to go… to the record store. With Ronin. 

I'm so nervous my hands are shaking as I hand the finished mocha to whoever ordered it. I don't know why. Ronin and I are friends. Friends go places together all the time. I shouldn't be nervous.

The bell attached to the door rings, and I look up to see Ronin. I smile at him and feel my worries melt away. He waves.

"Hi!" I say. "You're just in time! My shift just ended." I hang up my apron and grab my tote bag. Then I come out from behind the counter. "Ready to go?"

"Yep," I smile, my head buzzing with excitement. I quietly fidget with my hoodie zipper, running it up and down the teeth. Gosh, why am I like this? All stupidly flustered over literally just going to record store with a guy.

It's not just some guy, though. It's Callum. He's so nice to me. It makes all my thoughts go at the speed of light, like some sort of... I don't know. It's hard to explain.

"So..." I say as I open the door again and step out, holding it open for Cal afterwards, "How was your shift?"

I shrug. "It was okay. Not too busy today." I pause. "Kind of boring, to tell you the truth. I was excited to go to the record store… and to see you." I smile again like an idiot and glance away before he can notice I'm blushing. 

We turn a corner. "The record store is just up this street," I say. "It's really cool, I think you'll like it. They've got… well, records, obviously, and CDs, and cassette tapes. They also sell a bunch of band t-shirts. And I think some pins. It's great!" 

We continue up the street until we arrive at the record store. There's a sign in the window that titles it RAINBOW RECORD STORE, as well as a bunch of posters for local bands that'll be playing in an upcoming concert at the park. I open the door. "After you," I say.
