Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Grasshopper mice! You have never seen the likes of these beasties before. I just found out about this from a thread on another writing forum's equivalent of DtE, and I have to post them.

1. They're carnivorous, eating mostly grasshoppers/insects, but they can kill and eat mice and rodents bigger than they are.

2. They hunt by stalking and pouncing like a cat.

3. They stake out territory with scent markings and can control up to 9 acres of land.

4. They are immune to snake and scorpion venom.

5. And, having saved best for last, they rear up on their hind legs and howl.

Google it. The fourth photo that comes up for me on Google is. . . . genius. I can't get it to come up on here, but look for it. Unless, of course, you're on the other writing forum and I don't know it, in which case look in the Lounge for the thread with the title "grasshopper mice" and look at my post. :D
