Shalom! In my experience, there aren't many Jewish people all in one place. I'm lucky to have an irl Jewish friend like me! I'm kind of curious if there are any Jewish CBers (besides me) and what their life has been like. Right now, I'm going through the process of being bat mitzvahed. And Passover is coming up!

Happy Passover, Rainbow! I am so stressed for this seder. We have six guests, and because our family is a family of five, there will be 11 people total, 10 excluding me! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Admin? In English it's "Happy Passover", but in Hebrew the literal translation is "Happy Holiday." Can you change that please? Also why did you remove the Hebrew phrase?
We don't post foreign words on Chatterbox.

Happy Passover!
Our seder had 50 people! Did anyone find the afikomen?

You. Are. Kidding. 50 PEOPLE? Wow. Yes, I did find the afikomen, on the first seder night my adult brother hid the afikomen in a super-obvious place, and a few seconds after we were sent off to search it, I saw the red napkin and said "found it!" and they didn't believe it until they saw where I was. The second night, my 18-year-old brother hid it in the same spot, but with no afikomen inside (it was a decoy). I knew he would not hide it in the same place twice, given how fast I had found it there. So I ignored it and kept searching. The afikomen that I did find was hidden in a stash of magazines by one of the couches. Actually, multiple real afikomens are hidden in my family so that it isn't a race to see who finds it first, that would make other people feel bad. And no one afikomen is designated for a specific person, it is just take to the table the first afikomen you find. My birthday is in just 5 days!

my dad is ashkenazi jewish and mom is roman catholic, but i've been raised in a very catholic environment, and have been going to a catholic school since kindergarten. however, i still celebrate certain jewish holidays and go to temple every so often. it's a side of my heritage that i'd love to explore more, as the jewish religion and culture is a beautiful thing. my dad isn't very observant though lol, this year he literally forgot about purim, which was a huge facepalm moment for me. despite all my aforementioned religious background, however, i don't really believe in god, or any religious beliefs, except for the occasional tarot reading. so, um, im kinda jewish? like, genetically?

I'm 3/4 Jewish 1/4 Roman Catholic but am not religious either way...my mom's dad is a religious Catholic and she went to church and all that (her mom is a nonreligious Jew) and both my dad's parents were both nonreligious Jews. We don't celebrate many religious holidays besides Hanukkah and Christmas (we have a menorah AND a Christmas tree). My dad also makes me Easter baskets even though he's 100% Jewish lol. I'm not really sure where I fall into with religious beliefs but I do believe in God (I think...? Literally changes every day). No, I am not baptized and I'm 13 and I haven't had a bat mitzvah so...
