I just went through and topped eight separate threads, one of which has been sitting there since November. It's really sad when things don't get topped, so please try.
If you're new and don't know what topping is: after the first comment on a thread, it falls down to be Lost in the Back Pages of Sadness. You can find these Back Pages of Sadness by clicking twice on the "submitted by" button on the top of the page (only one click for BAB, for some reason). This sorts the threads by the order they've last been posted on, so the recent ones with only one comment will usually pop up. From there, all you have to do is comment on that thread and it'll Top! If it's a thread that you created or posted first on, you might want to just keep the tab open so that you can find it quickly again.
One important thing to remember: a thread won't top until after the first comment has appeared. Not after it's been created, but after the Admins review it and post it. It's useless to top before that happens.
And while it would be kind of ironic if this thread didn't get topped, don't succumb to the irony. Humph.

Thanks for the topping reminder, Hex! I agree that it is quite important. Just one teeny note: clicking on "submitted by" twice actually organizes the threads by date. I like to ramble through the CB that way, because it's so much easier to find threads when they're in chronological order!
