Callum

The boy orders a medium and a chocolate chip cookie. I start making the Frappuccino first, and about halfway through the process of making it, he says, "My name is Ronin, by the way." 

I look up at him. "That's the most beautiful name I've ever heard," I blurt, then turn red. Oh, why did I say that? Now he probably thinks I'm weird. "I- I mean- Um- I'm Callum. But y-you can call me Cal, if you want." 

I finish the Frappuccino and grab the cookie from one of our display cases. Then I place those on the counter. "Uh, is that a My Chemical Romance hoodie?" I ask Ronin. It's random, but, though I'd never admit it, I kind of don't want him to leave yet. "So you're into music, then? Me too. Uh, there's actually a record store a few streets down, have you seen it? B-because, i-if you haven't, maybe I could… Show you sometime." 

I run a hand through my hair. Maybe it was a bad idea to say that. I don't think Ronin has very similar taste in music to me. Also, there's the fact that this is the first proper conversation I've ever had with him… But it'd be nice to have an excuse to see him again.

Sorry, is this too pushy? I just thought it might be good to have a way to keep the conversation going, but I don't want to force the story in a direction it's not going.

Oh my gosh, did he just say yes? I did not expect that. This is the kind of thing you daydream about, the kind of thing you want to happpen, but don't expect to actually happen. 

"My shift ends at noon," I say. "Are you free then? We could check out the record store, and maybe get brunch after, if you want? There's this really good brunch place across the street from the record store called Layla's. They've got the best vegan pancakes I've ever laid eyes on. Then again, I have three sisters, only one of which can cook, so…" I laugh.

=Today I'm meeting Writing's AE Dawn to go thrift shopping.  I'm really excited, ae seems like a really interesting person.  I'm confident, but still, I hope I make a good impression.  I talked to Moonstone about it, and they told me to try and not be overbearing.  Pretty good advice, I think.

I've gotten ready, and all I need to do is drive there.  I decided to wear overall shortsand a white off-the-shoulder shirt, with green kneesocks and sneakers.  I can't wait to get there, to meet Dawn and go shopping.  I love thrifting - it's like treasure hunting.  I wonder what aer favorite things to do are?=

I walked down the street, soothing Lofi music playing in my headphones. I was heading too the music store. Mr Bob trailing alogn behind me. He barks, he knows where we are going. The owner of the shop loves to pet him. I'm goign there to buy CDs and recoding supplise. I'm planning on writing new songs, but my mic just died.

The store is a quaint shop, very chill and calm. It's not packed often, but it's still cozy. As I walk in, I notice three other people. One of wich was an AE Strawberry knows. I think his name is Oliver.

He seems nice at frist glance. He probally is! I smile. I kind of want to talk to him. But, he looks like he's doing somehting important. 

I look around, browsing the CDs.
