The World Soccer
The World Soccer Cup has begun!!!! Who else is watching it? I've been watching a game more or less every day (this is another very good reason for being homeschooled - from time to time you don't have to worry about "But we're supposed to be studying our history..."). Portugal-Ghana was one of the most exciting games, and so was Mexico-Poland (I was going for Mexico and Portugal, because Ronaldo can be terribly nice...I utterly don't like him. And I'm putting in far too many things in italics, but never mind.)
Anyhow, I'm just ranting on here lol, this thread is for talking about the World Cup games! :)

AHHHHH!!!!! What upsets today! Two games ending in penalties! And Brazil losing to Croatia!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!! NOOOOOO!!!! I'm exhausted just from watching soccer all day.

I watched those two too (good-bye, good-bye, forever, school...) I hate it when they have to go to penalties, it just seems unfair to the players. And yes I wanted Brazil to win too :( And I do not like most of the Argeninian players, so I wasn't too happy that they won.

I wanted England to win too! I mean, I like France as well, because the French play so well, but it was sad to have the English lose the game.
AND Brazil lost to Croatia, AND the Netherlands lost to Argentina, AND Portugal lost to Morocco, of all the teams. I'm feeling very unhappy right now... :(

Yes, I agree that it would be interesting if Morocco got to the finals, although at the moment I don't like them too much because THEY BEAT PORTUGAL HOW DARE THEY--
And Argentina beat Croatia!!! I don't like the Croatian team that much but I like the Argentinian team even less... honestly, I personally see absolutely nothing in Messi. Besides, since the Croatians made it to second place last time I think they ought to have really won now.
And I also agree that France shouldn't win this time because they did last time, but they're my favorite team of the ones that are left. ALL MY FAVORITE TEAMS HAVE BEEN KNOCKED OUT ALREADY!!!!! *sniff*

Oh dear... now the whole World Cup is over, and we won't have another for four whole years! *cries* I wish there were a World Cup every year. I could be perfectly happy if there were one World Cup game every day for my entire life, with the same teams over and over... England, France, Spain, the US, Portugal, etc... oh well, there's the Euro Cup in two years and that'll have a lot of the same teams as the World Cup.
And Argentina won?! I will say the Argentinians were a very, very skilled team, and I liked it that they had so much determination. A lot of teams seem to have something of a hard time with actually trying their hardest. Like the Mexican team... I'm very loyal to them, of course, but I have to admit they can never seem to quite make up their minds to make goals. ;( But I did want France to win - the French players just seemed more charismatic to me. But oh well, Argentina definitely was the best team.
I'm already looking forward to the next World Cup. It's so exciting that it will be here in the US and Mexico and Canada! Although what with the horrible summer temperatures that there have been in the southern US, I don't know if it will really be feasible, unless the stadiums are air-conditioned. It might actually be worse than the temperatures in Qatar. *gasp*
