I'm Hex, she/her. I've been on the CB for almost a year now. I like writing + reading (fantasy mostly), and ONE favorite series is Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan. Okay, TWO: also Septimus Heap by Angie Sage.

I play a few sports, mostly soccer, although sometimes I swim, play basketball, tennis, or volleyball. I really don't like running, which most people make fun of me because I play soccer and don't like running, but it's perfectly (ish) sensible. I don't like running for the sake of running (eg. Cross Country) because it's pointless and you often end up going in circles anyway.

I also like origami, board games, and puzzles of any kind (although especially word puzzles). My favorite type of punctuation is either an em dash (—) or an interrobang (‽). My favorite word is either pyx or logodaedalus.

I'm introverted, nerdy and prone to spouting odd facts nobody cares about at exactly the wrong moment, often makes terrible jokes because I don't know what else to say, sarcastic and often unintentionally mean, crazy and thrill-seeking, unpredictable, stubborn and will argue about the most insignificant things (for example, the phrase should be 'e for effort' not 'a for effort'), and often says stuff along the lines of "That makes no sense! It's a terrible idea! Let's do it!"

Also @Peri I've been reading your ski lodge and it's really well-written. I love the character's—they're so well developed, especially Atom and his peanut-butter cheese-it's. Also Satom is adorable.

Hi! I’m Silver Crystal (Silver for short), and I’ve been on the CB since November 2020, which means that I will have reached my 2 year CBversary in about a month! I try to post as often as I can, although there is a lot more work this year and I don’t have too much free time. 

Some facts about me: I’m 15, in high school, I have a dog, and my favorite colors are blue and purple. I, like most people on here, am a writer and I usually try to write fantasy/sci-fi and poetry, but I don’t write nearly as much as I want to. I love joining Ski Lodges and seeing other people’s creative works on here! I’ve started at least five (?) Ski Lodges, but if you’ve known me for a while you’d know that I have problems staying with one project for too long, whoops :P I’ve been thinking of doing at least one more big project but I don’t really know what it would be (suggestions welcome!). I also started the Regular Writing Thread, which is on the 1st/2nd page of PP, if anyone has written anything no matter the length that they want feedback on or just want other people to read.

I love reading (some favorites are Percy Jackson/Riordanverse, Shadowhunters, and Lord of the Rings/Silmarillion) and listening to music (favorite artists include Taylor Swift, YUNGBLUD, girl in red, Conan Gray, CHVRCHES, etc). Star Wars is another favorite of mine (I’m going as a Jedi for Halloween this year!). I have a tentative interest in filmmaking, although I’m not sure if it’s something I want to pursue. I also love musicals- some of my faves are Mean Girls, Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, the Lightning Thief, SIX, Hadestown, In the Heights, and many more that I’m forgetting right now.

Hi, everyone! I'm Writing_in_the_Dark, mostly known as Writing. I've been on the CB for almost two years (wait- really? Yea, aparently) and I'm probably most known for my AEs (of which I am extreamly proud of)... My pronouns are they/he/xe, preferably he, and I'm 13 years old.

I love reading and writing! My favorite author is probably Rick Riordan, though I recently read the first KOTLC book, which I enjoyed. Right now I'm reading Aru Shah And The End Of Time, and I'm liking it so far. Also right now, I have two writing projects- The Runaways (which I've been "working on" for about a year), and Project SPS (which is newer, I thought of it probably mid-August).

Another thing I really enjoy is cartoons! When I grow up I really want to be a showrunner and storyboard artist. Some of my favorite cartoons right now are Dead End: Paranormal Park, The Owl House, and Rise Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Cringe? Yeah. But IT GETS SO SAD). I'm also developing my own revamp of the TMNT!

As for music, I'd descibe my taste as pop-indie-punk-musicals-bubblegrunge-electronic... Hard to explain. I love Cavetown and MARINA... But I've also had "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana on repeat for the past few days.

Hi!  I'm Sterling, but you all know that.  I've been here since August 2020, but I've somehow forgotten my CBversery 2 years in a row now.  I'm 16, my pronouns are they/them.

I love storytelling, whether it's through books, TV, or my own writing.  I have two novels and one novel-length fanfiction I'm currently working on, and I'm doing NaNoWriMo this November.  My favorite shows are Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Arcane, and I also love Studio Ghibli movies.  Some of my favorite books are Greenglass House, LOTR,  Frankenstein, All Our Hidden Gifts, and Boys Run The Riot.  Some of my favorite authors are Leigh Bardugo, Rick Riordan, Molly Knox Ostertag, and Hiromu Arakawa.

I want to study ancient history and creative writing in college.  I love all kinds of food, although I'm a mediocre cook.  I like playing sports in theory, but I'm not athletic or skilled enough to join a team right now.  Some other favorite things of mine are musicals, cats, the smell of old books, thunderstorms, boba tea, authentic Mexican food, and mushrooms.

My dream life is kind of a conflict of interest between becoming a famous author and traveling all over the world, and working at a tea shop on this kind of remote island in Maine and living the ideal cottagecore life.

My music taste is a weird blend of a couple different genres.  Some of my favorite artists are Of Monsters and Men (indie rock), AJR (pop-ish), Porter Robinson (what I can best describe as soft EDM), and The Amazing Devil (folk rock, crimminally underrated).

I truly love the CB and am thankful for everyone here <3

I'm Poinsettia. I've been here only about a month and a half, but I've become very active on here. My pronouns are she/her. I love writing, although lately I cannot write unless I am left absolutely undisturbed, which is odd because I never used to be like that. I also enjoy reading, going outdoors, socializing, being around animals, and traveling.

I love standing up for people in trouble. Most of the time I'm friendly, fun-loving, just a tad dramatic, and impulsive, with tons of energy and a very optimistic viewpoint IF people don't suddenly inform me about reality. Unfortunately very small things irritate me, so I guess I'm also irritable. :( I'll air my philosophical opinions at the drop of a hat, because that's the kind of family I'm from - we like to spend time discussing deep topics. I also feel very connected to other parts of the world, probably because my mom has lived in many different countries and told me a lot about them. Even though I've only lived in Mexico and the US, I like to think about other countries, learn about them, and travel to them (when there's no pandemic in the way).

I don't know exactly what personality type I am - I ought to be an ENFJ, but it doesn't describe a lot of aspects of my character, so probably I'm a mix of ENFJ and ENTJ and maybe a dash of ENFP? I'm a bit confuzzled. But anyway, I know I'm an extrovert, and all my close family are introverts. This makes it rather bothersome because they like to be calm and thoughtful, while I like to be excited and active. But oh well.

I'm partly Mexican, so I miss Mexico and spend a lot of time thinking about it - its music, my home state, my family, the food, etc. - but I'm also partly American, so there are a lot of things about the US that I love. Frankly I don't feel like I belong wholly to either culture - I'm just myself.

As for music, I love all kinds, except for rock, heavy metal, punk, and so on. Some of my favorite artists are Peter, Paul, & Mary and Paco Padilla (a Mexican singer), but I have lots of others. I love all kinds of books, too, except dark books, which is why I don't read a lot of recently written novels. They're sort of morbid and unnatural, and it doesn't seem interesting or helpful to read them.

I'm homeschooled, and I like history and literature a lot. When I grow up, I want to be a writer, a screenwriter, an anthropologist, a diplomat (if it were a safe job), an activist, Queen of the World so I can fix all the problems the world has (that's never going to happen though), and a lot of other thngs, but I can't be all of them so I'll have to choose just a few. Probably a screenwriter will be one of them, because I love imagining movies and dialogue between characters. Sometimes I can imagine them so vividly, I really want to actually see it as a movie, not just have it in my head.

The last two facts about me are that I tend to ramble on and on, as you can see, and that my screen time is pretty much up. I just want to add that you guys, Admins included, are wonderful and creative, and I'm so grateful that I discovered the CB.
