Sleepovers. Who likes
Sleepovers. Who likes sleepovers? What's the latest you've ever stayed up? (All night doesn't count!) What do you usually do at your sleepovers? I'm slightly surprised that no one has posted about these yet.

Awesome subject, Brynne!
I LOOOVE sleep-overs! The latest I've ever stayed up is probably, about 2:45. That was at my friend's Sophie's sleep-over. At night, we snuck downstairs, snatched the whipped cream, and sprayed it on Sophie's brother! It was AWESOME!!!!!! At about 12:00, we formed a talk-a-loud where if you wanted to talk, you would join the group, and start to talk. We got away with it until 12:45, when Sophie's mom heard us, and came in. Rats! That was last year. This year, she held another sleep-over. It was on her grandparents' farm. Sadley, there were no animals. But, there was a swimming pool, swimming house, and the main house was 3 steps away from a river! It was AWESOME! We also had a talk-a-loud at that sleep-over, too. Well, gotta go. Bye!

In all honesty, I've never been invited to a sleepover party. Sigh...

Sooo sorry,
I wish you could have gone to Sophie's sleep-over! Again, I feel SOOOOO bad for you.

PS: Hope you get invited to one soon!

Best sleepover I ever had was at my then-friend Lisanne's house for her birthday. She also had my still-friends Rachael, Ashlee, and Adaire (who is perhaps the funniest person I have ever met) over.
Anyhoo, first thing, Rachael and Adaire steal my Midsummer Night's Dream book (which was in my backpack on the off chance that there would be an occasion to read) and hid it, so Ashlee and I got into a little war with Rachael and Adaire trying to find my book. This lasted for about two hours, and I'm not sure where Lisanne was for all this time, I think in her room playing a video game. *rolls eyes*
Then we got kicked outside, so we went and saw the snow fort (this was the middle of January). It was like this cave thing inside a frozen snow drift, Lisanne and her sister Abby had hollowed it out. Anyway, there was a slide entrance, a regular-person sized exit, and a Lisanne-sized rabbit hole. Plus a window.
Now you have to understand, Rachael is, er, larger than Lisanne. Much taller (about 5'11" as compared to about 5'0") and proportionately wider in the shoulder. The Lisanne tunnel was not only Lisanne-sized, but it CURVED. and yet, for reasons unbeknownst to me, she decided to try to crawl through it. I think she might have been chasing me, actually, as I had just stolen her hat.
She got stuck. So Lisanne and I were outside, worthless because she was rolling around shrieking with laughter, and I was on top of the snow fort, by the slide entrance, quoting Monty Python and the Holy Grail at the top of my lungs (don't ask why, i'd had several sodas at that point).
Adaire was inside, rolling around giggling insanely. Ashlee, meanwhile, was trying to get Rachael unstuck. And I quote: "KICK ONCE IF YOU NEED ME TO PULL! KICK TWICE IF YOU NEED ME TO PUSH!" XD
Anyway, after we got Rachael unstuck, Adaire figured it'd be fun to turn off the flashlight and scare Ashlee by poking her beneath her rib cage. Multiple times. Ashlee, incidentally, squeals like a deranged squirrel if she gets poked. :D I think we went in about 3 or 4.
Next morning, Ashlee and I got woken up by squirt bottles full of ice water wielded by Adaire, Lisanne, and Rachael, so naturally we got into a water/pillow fight, in the rec room. And then we migrated into Lisanne's room and had a war to see who could shoot the most rubber bands into Lisanne's light fixture (it's like this huge bowl thing, hanging over her bed). And then Ashlee decided to straighten Adaire's hair. OH, and I found my Shakespeare book, in the bathroom.
After Adaire's hair had been straightened (a two hour ordeal), Ashlee and I went to hide in the rec room, while Adaire and Rachael were out... doing something. I'm not sure, but they were in the hall outside of Lisanne's bedroom. And LIsanne was in her bedroom. All of a sudden we heard this... WUMP! wump-wumpwumpwumpwumpwump WUMP AAAAAH! accompanied by insane laughter on Adaire's part.
Ashlee and I went running out and found that Rachael had managed to fall down the stairs. Or Adaire pushed her, it's really hard to tell. *grin*
Oh, and at some point Rachael threw my socks away.
Best night ever. It was amazing, though my abs were a bit sore afterwards.
I don't think Lisanne's parents ever wanted to see any of us again, though.

That sounds like so much fun, TNO! I wish I could do something like that someday. However, my parents consider 11:00 pm late. Sigh...........

Fun!!! One time, my "friend" and her brothers built a GIGANTIC snow fort in their front yard. It was around twelve feet high and probably twelve feet wide! They had to shovel all of the snow in their entire yard: front & back!!!!! The hollowed it out and sprayed the outside with hose water, so it would freeze and make it really strong. There was a three foot high entrance on the side, but we usually just climbed up the side and jumped down the hole in the top. That always made my feet sting... :):):) It was SO much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The fort lasted till about July, though.... :):):):)

Hiya, Everybuggy!
Uggh, sadly, the closest I've ever been to a sleepover is either spending the night with my Grandma or hiding (no-not actually hiding) in my tent inside the house. That's because I don't have any other kids about my age in my neighborhood fit to play with, only a 3 year old girl. I've actually got no more friends than her, my mom, my dad, my aunt, my cousin, my Grandma, and a couple other kids a few years younger than I am that are kids of my relatives' friends.
(November 24, 2008 - 12:54 pm)
I'm sort of in the same situation, only there are kids my age in the neighborhood (in fact, they used to be my best friends), but within the last few years they've left me out of everything. :( I made some friends at my camp, and then the next year, they did the same thing. I'm sort of down to you guys, and one or two people back at home. And I don't have any realitives my age. :(:(:(:( Someday, I HAVE to meet one of you. Fortunatly, you're only seven, so you'll probably meet someone and go to a sleepover. I hadn't gone to one when I was your age! :):):)
P.S. What about school? I don't go to school, so I wouldn't know, but at every homeschool thing I go to, I almost always end up meeting someone!!

I feel sooooooo bad for you guys. Anna, I agree with Paige; since you're only 7, you probably will get invited to a sleep-over soon. If it makes you feel any better, I've only been invited to 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 sleep-overs in my whole life. Or, you can have your own sleep-over. You know, invite your friends over, or something like that. But sadly, only your parents can decide about this. Well, try asking them. If it dosn't work, that's my only idea, so, I'm, SOOOOOOOOO sorry. But, your welcome for how to get into a sleep-over!

PS: I was trying not to brag when I wrote that.

I'm not trying to be offensive or anything, but this is in response to your blowout at me on at Nathan's "OMG! OMG! There's a new gir...". The first comment you made was against judging people by their age. SOooooooo, you can imagine that I am slightly surprised that you said "Since you're only seven." I'm four years older than you and Nathan, so I know a little more about that stuff. In your case, she may only be a few months younger than you! And she's never been to one. ;)

P.S. Don't think I am against eight-year-olds. My "friend's" eight-year-old sister LOVES me and thinks that I'm her real sister. :):):)
