Chai's birthday is coming up (I guess AEs are ageless, but September 21st is National Chai Day, and I couldn't resist...) and she wants to have a party so she can give everyone presents and eat cake.

Anyway, though this may be a party thrown in honor of Chai, it isn't really going to be all about her because that would be... OP, I guess? I don't know how to best describe it. We just like AE Parties. She may tackle-hug you, though, and try to give you a present and/or a cookie.

/Oliver and Dawn walk in, and Oliver has suddenly started yelling and hugging me. "/HI!\" I yell back. "/Thank you!!\" I see Dawn and pull aer into the hug too. "/EEEEE! I'm so glad you two came!\" I say, pulling away. "/You can put the apple pie and lemonade on that table--\" I pause and point to a long table labeled SNACK TABLE with a cardboard sign I made--"/If you want. Here! I made you guys cookies and presents.\"\
/I, for one, am very proud of the presents I made Dawn and Oliver (friendship bracelets!!) but am now a tad worried they won't like them. I hope they do...\

I'm standing at Chai's door, ringing the doorbell as loud as I can. That's when I spot through the glass window in the door - Strawberry! I see Chai inside, but she's not paying any attention to me.~

~Through the commotion, Lyre pounds on the door loudly. We see Chai turn her head and I tackle hug her. "Happy Birthday, Chai! How old are you turning? Here's a present for you!" I hand her the small, clear present box. I made it clear so she could see what she got, in case she didn't open it right away. Inside, there is a box of pastries from our bakery, and a strawberry keychain that says Chai in golden letters. As soon as Chai has hold of the present, I pounce on Strawberry, who is edging away from Oliver. "Hiiiiiiiii! I'm so excited!" I look around. Maybe I'm too loud? Because now, everyone, including Oliver, is staring at us.~

#Mira bounds off to pounce on Strawberry. I walk over to Chai, who is surrounded by other AEs. "Hi, Chai. Happy birthday!" I place the basket of candy and the pocket notebook in her palms, and walk over to sit on a bench. Hopefully, I think, I will make some friends. I don't really have any.#

{I watch Lyre finish her turn. Then I hand her my present. Inside, there's an archery bow made completely of crystalized sugar. There are sugar arrows to shoot with it. I smile at her. "Happy Birthday, Chai. You can call me Lisa." Um. What should I say next? "Uh....where are the refreshments?"

A heard an a scream, which got increassingly louder (like: aaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA). I slowly looked up to see Mira pouncing on me. We hugged, both of us squealing in the procsess. I looked at her...then I realized how loud we were being. I slowly turned my head in Oliver direction...he was looking at me. And he had a look on his face like he was going to come over here. *internal scream insues* I grabbed Mira's hand and dragged her to the bathroom. Locking the door. "Mira..the thing is....I have a crush on Oliver.."

I glance back over to where Strawberry just was. It looked like she was scared of me or something… I don’t want to be scary. Part of me wants to go find her, but the other part of me knows that someone barging in on you in the bathroom is scary. So I slip on my friendship bracelet and look over to where Chai was pointing.
Oh. My. Gosh.
They. Are wearing. A Crystal Gems tee-shirt?? Yes. YES!
Behind me, I hear Dawn sigh and whisper, “>Oh no,<”
“OH YES!” I run over to the stranger - Vo - and stop right in front of him. “HI! WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTER? OR SONG? OR EPISODE? HAVE YOU WATCHED THE MOVIE??”

;An AE with a star on his face runs over to me and starts asking me about favorite characters and songs and episodes. I'm confused for a moment, but look down at my shirt. ";Oh!;" I grin. ";You've watched Steven Universe?;" I start drumming my fingers along the table. ";Well, my favorite character is Peridot. She's awesome. Choosing a favorite episode is too hard! Yeah, I've watched the movie. And my favorite song is probably Change Your Mind, but Peace and Love on the Planet Earth comes in close second. /Vo runs off to the snack table. Lisa, who's been asking where the refreshments are, stares at me. "/The refreshments are over there!\" I declare. "/And happy birthday to you too!\" I turn to Dawn. "/Are you supposed to wish people happy birthday on your birthday? I'm not sure. I've never celebrated my birthday before! I didn't even know it for a while. Peri figured it out. Oh look, there are presents in my hands!\" Sometimes, I have to admit, I stop paying attention to life around me. Then suddenly it's like everything is a few minutes ahead of me, and I have to sprint to keep up. "/THANKS!\" I yell, so everyone who gave me presents gets a thanks at once. That was so nice of them. I'll have to give them my presents too. "/Oh! I guess you don't want to go to the snack table now that Vo is singing loudly,\" I say, gesturing to Dawn's hands. "/That's okay. You can set your stuff down over there.\" I point to the table on the other side of the room, which has various things on it--people's presents, a few extra snacks, and of course, the birthday c--oops, that's a surprise!\

I stop for a moment "Uuuuuuuuum"The girn stayed on her fac as she shoved me out of the bathroom, and over to Oliveeeeeer! Ok, Strawberry. You can do this, He is human too. Just like you. Oliver was talking to someone else "Mira, is this a good idea. I mean, he is talking to someone else" Mira was still pushing me over to...Oliver and...another AE I do not know. "Mira...MIRA! MIRA WHY ARE YOU STILL PUSHING ME" I whisper yelled, wriglling around. Oliver and the other AE. Mira let go of me, and tapped Oliver on the shoulder "Hi, my name is Mira. I don't think we have meet, but this is my friend Strawberry. I am pretty sure you meet her"...
