track and field!
Hello! Does anybody else here run track? I had my first meet today and it was kind of amazing. I'm a miler, but I also like the 800. Relays are fun, too, but the only options are the 4 by 1 and the 4 by 4, both of which I'm awful at, so I probably won't do them a lot. I can't do any field events, either :( I'm so bad at them, it's kind of hilarious. My friend says I look like a dying eagle, except less graceful, when I high jump.

O track, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways:
1. Uhhh...
My very first track meet I injured my hip during 60 meter sprint. Then I hurt the other hip practicing high jump. And somehow scraped the top layer of skin off my elbow on the high jump mat. I like high jump and sprinting, and I'm pretty good at both, but if I'm going to hurt myself I say it's not worth it.
Track meets can be fun though. Unless of course they're freezing cold. And windy. And they're never not windy-
I should just make a complaints thread at this point heh

I plan to join track and field next year, but I'm afraid it will go onto the list of thing's I'll never do.
