That sounds Awful:( I've never had any flu shots or any vaccines at all. I hope it goes okay.

It's bad enough that she actually thinks that you need a flu shot.
I take it that you, like me, are terrified of needles?

We always get flu shots. I hate shots, too, but I'm used to them. I absolutely hate medicine! When I was younger, I would puke every time I tried to eat medicine. Yes, I tried, because I wanted to feel better, I just couldn't do it. So when I got really sick, strep throat and a very bad fever I don't remember the name to, I had to get shots instead of taking the medicine. One shot, in the thigh caused me to be almost paralyzed in that leg for 2 days!!! I hope that doesn't scare you, because normal shots aren't like that.
Last time I got the flu shot, my little brother, another terrified little boy, was watching. So I had to be brave, so he wouldn't cry. DON'T WATCH THE NEEDLE GO INTO YOUR ARM. My only warning. It's awful. (I've never done it, but I watched it go into my brother's arm, and that was scary!!!)
Now that I'm older, though, I am fine with swallowing pills. Which I am so glad about, because I hate being sick! :) :)

@ Cara: Well as long as the needle isn't going into me I'm ok. But I don't like the pins with the nobs on them that you use when you try to pin fabric together. They hurt if you prick yourself.
Thanks guys for trying to make me feel better. The shot wasn't that bad. It did hurt, but not REALLY bad. My sisters couldn't get the shot though because you had to be 13 and up. So just me and my parents got it. I got a little candy bag afterwards. And my papa said afetr I got the shot I could get something (as long as it was reasonably price). I chose a Harry Potter bookmark:set of two that came with a fold out poster! And when we were walking around the store I saw a Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince poster up advertising that the movie was coming soon!!!!:) I started sqeeling when I saw it.
Thanks again! Bye!

Ooh. I've never had any shots, except one when I was a baby, but I've had blood draws before and they are no fun. I would say good luck, or something, but I'm probably too late.
I've had lots of shots and blood drawn, too, and usually it's over before you even know it! One time I thought the nurse was just cleaning my arm and she was already done.

I'm sorry shots scare you. They're not my favorite thing, but they're really not that bad. I'm not fond of needles, but there's really not much a trained nurse could accidentally do to you with a needle.

When I was little, I lived in a house that had led paint in it. So I had a lot of blood draws. Four to six people had to hold my sister still to get her blood to check for led. And once my mom checked how much iron I have in my blood. I wanted her to do it. And she's a midwife, so she has a thing that can do that. And I've gotten a vaccine once before. For polio and chicken pox and other things. My mo and dad didn't want the doctor to give tham to me, but I got them. That was the same thing with Luna. She was actually born in mom and dads room, in this very house, but then she had a helicopter ride to the hospital. Autumn was the only kid that didn't go to the hospital when she was a baby. She was born in a kitchen. In the old house with the led paint. i've gotten pink antabiotics before. I hate it. It was a very bad taste. It was supposed to be bubble gum. I don't like bubble gum. it didn't even taste like bubble gum. It tasted worse. And other medicine that I've had is tinctures made by my mom or one of her friends. And some other gross tasting ones that people bought at the store. *shivers* Store bought medicine tastes bad. I prefer to use echanacea tincture instead of a weird tasting cough drop for my cough. And aloe vera works very well for bruises. Whiskey does not help, as i have learned from my dad.

Ouch! Well, I haven't had a shot in a long while, and I never get the flu vaccine or any other vaccine. Well, I have had a shot, actually. I got a cavity once, and the dentist said I was going to feel a pinch. I almost started crying, but a shot in your gum is a lot different than a shot in the arm. Don't worry! Just start playing your favorite song in your head. It'll be over before you know it!

I've had a cavity before, too. That month was the month I had whooping cough. And that leg rash that burned a lot becasue of sunburn mixed with chlorine water and rubbing on very scratchy cloth. That was the worst month of my life.

I have problems with my teeth. :( The day before Christmas break for my school I have to get a surgery (that deals with two shots in the roof of my mouth) for the dentist people to actually find one of my teeth, then another surgery later to either pull that tooth out, or maneuver it into place, then I have to get braces for a long time, and who knows what after that.

@ Meadow: Ugh. I have very pale skin so I get sunburnt very easily. No matter how much suncreen I put on. Whe we go to lakes and stuff, aprx every hour or so I have to put sunscreen on to make sure I have enough, well apparently it doesn't really help.

I have super super super light skin. In the winter, I am, like, almost white. Literally. Ask Charlotte. She's a little paler than I am!

*gulp* I hate hate hate shots! O.O It'll be fine, though.
It's mainly the thought that makes it scary. My brother
got a shot once and didn't even know it. The doctor
just told him to look away for a second and he didn't
realize he got a shot until after it happened...

If you think that is scary, think about learning you are getting braces a little early... About 30min-1 hour before you got them!
