Pretty self-explanatory; what does your name on the CB mean, how did you choose it, things like that? A lot of you have really cool names.
I'll start! My name, Blackfooted Bobcat, is a mix of "blackfooted cat" and bobcat". I like both of those cats, and there are... a few bobcats that are returning to where I live. Anyone else?

My friend dared me to use it as a username for a website, and she got it from one of her favorite fictional characters. It also fits my location of a constantly expanding universe-I liked the cosmic theme.

So young clueless Periwinkle was reading the Letterbox in Cricket and was SO confused. What the heck was "down to earth?" Huh? What was going on! Her poor brain was exploding. (It wasn't actually that dramatic, but you get the idea.) I sort of connected the dots eventually: it was some type of online hangout thingamajig. I saw comments posted from "Blue" and "Lilac" that were put in the magazine, both of which are colors, and I thought: Periwinkle.

I also think there's a type of shellfish called a periwinkle. They live in little shells at the beach near the water. You know how when a wave goes away, there's tiny little holes in the sand? That's where periwinkles are, you can dig where the hole is and find it. My dad and I used to dig for them all the time (and then put them back of course)

I have explained this pretty much a million times on other threads, but how I got my name lies in an event that happened that day. Right before I followed the link in the magazine to CB, I had gone to the local zoo and saw a golden lion tamarin eating orange peels from an egg carton. That was so funny I used the animal's name (with no spaces) as my CB name.

my irl name begins with L and means light & my favorite color is and was blue. "Luminescence" is light that isn't created by heat, and bioluminescent plankton often glow an amazing shade of blue. Hence, Luminescence *bows*
