Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Yippee! I'm back! :D  Hey everyone, I got back from my camping trip a little earlier than I expected.  Why?  Well, we drove a long way to a Hot Springs Resort, (sorry, I'm not allowed to give out much detail.)  Like my brother said, "We're camping in a parking lot?" :)  The camping site was a parking lot, with a picnic table and fire place.  It was.... interesting. That's why we decided to stay only two nights.  It was beautiful, the parking lot was in the woods, (the northwest is always beautiful!!)  with a river and we could see mountains!  

It was really cold.  I was wearing a couple layers!  All of our meals were cooked over the fire, and they tasted so good!  The Hot Springs were AMAZZZZZING.  There were four different pools all different temperatures: 105, 101, 98, and 64, (SOOOOOOOOO cold.)  Since it was cold outside, only a couple people, (what do ya know, including my brothers), dared to enter that 64 degrees pool!  I got very hot sitting in the springs, so I did go up to my shoulders in the cold water, but I ran screaming back to the hot pool.

It was really nice just to sit in them and relax.  It was like a spa!  If it got to hot, I would dip in the cold pool, or just stand out in the cold air.  The springs made my skin slimy because of the minerals in the water.  It is very good for you and springs have been known to heal sore joints or other issues.  

The second night, we got neighbors... RIGHT next to us.  (it really was a parking lot and other campers were parked in the space next to us.)  And, though quiet hour started at ten, when my family was trying to sleep, they were partying until AT least midnight!  They even had music playing.  It was rude.... or maybe they weren't that loud, we were just right next to them.  So we decided we didn't really like our camping spot, we prefer being away from people in the more private camping spots in the woods, so we drove home.  I did love the springs, and the hikes we took!  It was so pretty!  I'm so glad I'm back and I'll be posting everywhere, (even thought I was only gone for three days!)  :D :D :D :) :) :) :)  --For Kenzie :D
