I just started speech this summer! Not doing debate, because I don't like arguing XD. My current events are info (I'm doing a speech on the model minority myth) and humorous interp! I'm working on a fractured fairytale sort of them for my HI, and I have to transcribe the script by hand, because the website doesn't allow copy and pasting because of copyright laws. I swear I'm going to get carpal tunnel from all this typing.

Ooh, I'm taking a class with the same name next semester! 

I've also always wanted to get better at rhetoric and public speaking... Never officially participated any competitive speech and debate events though.

The only time I've really ever had experience with 'debating' with people my age outside of Socratic Semenars was this one workshop-like thing our school had to help people find jobs they might be interested in, a few years ago, and there was a attorney-like one offered. It was one of the ones I chose and was so frustrating because of the immaturity of literally every other student in the room. Overall, not a good experience; however, if I ever could redo that but with people who actually cared it might be really interesting.
