Got the COVID vaccine!
I just got my first shot!! Has anyone else gotten the vaccine, or is planning on it? It only just got approved for 12-15 year olds (the pfizer one).
My arm is not that sore, but who knows, maybe it will get more sore soon...
It feels good to feel like there might be an end to this whole mask, six-feet-apart and quarantine thing!!!!

I'm getting my shot in a few days! It's gonna be fun to finally be confident that I have less of a chance of carrying the virus and giving it to those around me.

My best friend got his yesterday, as did another person I am friendly with but isn't really my close friend (they got it together). My other best friend's getting hers on Tuesday, and my last best friend (I have three best friends because they're just my three closest friends and they're equally awesome) is only eleven, so she's not getting hers yet.

I'm not sure I'm going to get the vaccine any time soon. I'm honestly scared about the side effects of it. :( Maybe one day I will; but probably not now.
Joan, if it makes you feel any better, I had my second shot of the Pfizer vaccine several weeks ago. I felt achy and tired for one day, and then the next day I was back to normal. You should talk to your family doctor about the vaccine and your worries. --admin

I GOT MINE THIS MORNING!!!!!!!! My arm is kinda sore-ish but I'm a ballerina so I'm really used to being sore XD
This might sound weird, but getting it just has such a vibe of hope. Like there actually is a way out of all of this, and it is happening. Right. Now!

Yeah, I got the hope vibe too! It feels like we are getting closer to getting rid of covid! The clinics in our area all give out stickers, too, and the one they had for me was"I got my dose of Hope".

The thread was called "Got the COVID" and I thought you got sick with COVID and then I opened it and was very relived. Anyway, congrats!!! I'm only 11 so...boo. But my parents and a lot of my friends' parents are vaccinated so we're starting to do more stuff. :)

Same to both! I thought they had gotten covid, and I'm only 11 to. A lot of my friends are getting it, though, because they are leaving during school to go get it.

I get mine on tuesday! We have a huge backup where I live, since its sort of rural? I have to drive two hours to get mine. :/ it's a step closer to getting back to normal, though!!

That's awesome! I'll probably be getting mine soon, I just have to schedule an appointment. Two of my friends got their second shots yesterday, and my other friend just got her second shot today!

Yes! I got the vaccine yesterday right after school! My arm is a bit sore too, but it isn't too bad. One of my classmates got it today and also got interviewed by the news! They might even get to be on TV! And yes. I. Am. So. Excited. To. See. People!!!! AHH! I fell like once the world has herd imunity, I am just going to run around hugging people. I am tired of saying/typing virtual hugs to my friends, and I can't wait to go back to school! Oh goodness, I am so glad the vaccine is out for us!
