NaNo is short for NaNoWriMo, which stands for National Novel Writing Month! There's one for adults, but there's also one for young writers. It's called the Young Writers Program, or YWP.

There's a National Novel Writing Month where you can set a word count goal to write in a month, but there's other months like camp NaNo, and you can also just set a word count goal to do in a month any time.

Hopefully that makes sense. So, like, you could go to the website and create a novel, and challenge yourself to write 30,000 words in 30 days. Then, you can write your novel on the website, or you can write it somewhere else and update your word count manually on the website!

But then there's also certain months where you can do it, like we just finished Camp NaNo (I think it was the month of April?).

Also, there's a forum, so you can chat with other fellow writers, like here on the CB. But you don't have to be on the forums, I'm not.

I don't think we're allowed to post a link on CB, but if you search up NaNoWriMo YWP you should find it!! It's very fun and I think it's a super great way to reach your novel goals. When you set the word count and the amount of days you're going to take to reach the goal, it tells you how many words you'll need to write every day, which is really helpful.

Also, I think there's a Chatterbox group on NaNo, although I could be mistaken?

By the way, I believe there's also a NaPoWriMo (national poetry writing month) but I don't know much about that, and I'm not sure if it's related to NaNo.
