April Fool's Day
Chatterbox: Down to Earth
April Fool's Day
April Fool's Day jokes of the past! I have had some interesting experiences.
One April Fool's Day, I go upstairs to mommy.
Me: Mommy, um, I accidientally kind of got a chip in your teapot. Can you come?
Mommy: (looks flustered) How did you do that?
Me: Well, I was kind of lifting it up... (the truth) Can you just come?
Mommy: Where on the teapot?
Me: Well, kind of on the inside... Can you just come see?
Mommy: How on EARTH did you manage to get a chip on the inside of the teapot?
But she comes. And when we reach the kitchen, she is (a little) surprised to see a soggy corn chip in her teapot. So yeah...

I've never been good at making up April Fool's jokes... The best that I've done is scraping out the filling in an Oreo and replacing it with mint (or better yet, spearmint!) toothpaste, then giving it to somebuggy. My brother did it to me once. It was the most disgusting thing in the world!!!

HA, HA, HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That sounds REALLY gross!!! Once, my mom made us our breakfast, and we found that the milk in our cups was purple!!!!!!!!!!!! We thought it was rotten, until my mom finally burst out laughing and told us that she had put food coloring into it! We even tried it to make sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so funny!

I dyed our milk last year, too, except blue. I also switched the bags in the cereal boxes around. My brother started CRYING when bran flakes came out of the Captain Crunch box instead of, well, Captain crunch. My mom was also ticked when the captain crunch came out of the bran flakes box. Oh!!! My sister and brother and I played the FUNNIESt trick on our brother (the one who cried). We got a cup of water and put a quarter in it. Then we told him we were going to do a magic trick. My sister climbed up a stool and held the cup to the ceiling. Then we got a broom and used the end (meaning not the broom side end) to hold the cup to the ceiling. We asked our brother to hold the broom for a moment. When he did, we grabbed the stool and ran out of the room. Get it? The only way now my brother could get the cup down would be by moving the broom. And by moving the broom, the cup of water would fall down on him. He cried over that, too. HAHAHAHA this is a great trick to play.

This past April, one of my best friends and I had a sleepover. We woke up at 4:00 to set up pranks. Some examples: put all the cereal bags in different cereal boxes. Stuff all my sister's shoe toes with toilet paper. Buckle in a bunch of stuffed animals into the car. I can't really remember all of them, but it was so much fun!

For last April Fool's, my brother and I called my uncle and told him that our auntie (who lives in Alberta) was waiting at the airport for him. He was halfway to the airport before we called him back and told him "April Fools!"
