Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Fall! :)&nbs

Fall! :)

Today is the first day of fall! *dances* I love fall

(which you probably already knew by now...). What

kinds of things do you like to do in the fall? Any

traditions? Holidays? We (my family and I) take

lots of long drives when the leaves start changing...

Well, we do that year-round but it's more fun in the

fall (and at Christmas, too). We also roast marshmallows

more this time of year when it gets colder. And, of

course, there's Halloween. I doubt I'm going to go

trick-or-treating this year, but I still love to carve

pumpkins and tell ghost stories around that time. ;)

And Thanksgiving is really fun, too, which is one of

the only times we can get all of our family together in

one place. That and Christmas, anyway... So, yeah, I

s'pose you could use this as your "official fall thread". :)

Like I said before, traditions, holidays, anything fall-

related. Enjoy! XP

YAYAYAYAY!!!! :D I LOVE fall!! :):) It's my favorite season!!!  And Maine (and NH and VT and all those New England states) is[are] known to be one of the prettiest states in the US in the fall! :):) All the leaves are starting to turn reddish and it's just SO pretty!!  Yesterday, we drove up to the Commonground Fair (hahahaha, lots of hippies... it was kinda funny! I counted 19 people with dreidlocks) in Maine, and there were SO many times that I wish I had my camera with me!!!  Sigh...  But yeah, I love autumn in Maine!  It's just cold enough to make your fingers freeze and give you a runny nose, realitives [sometimes] come to visit, you get to spend all day outside picking apples, by fires, and on the trampoline, and you get to get together with friends for Halloween (btw, I think I'm having a Halloween party this year! Any tips?)! :D I LOVE FALL! :D

I was thinking of having a halloween party, too!  Here are a few ideas.

1.  You could have everyone wear their costumes and have your mom or everyone vote whos is the best.  (No voting for yourself).  (Having prizes would be a good idea.  Just go to the dollar store and get some little things.)

2.  Like I said, you could just play board games, bingo, outside games like hide-and-go-seek tag, murder in the dark, and that kind of stuff and award the winner.  Or just play them for fun.  If you want to do apple dunking, or the little games they have at fairs, those are great too.

3.  Make cupcakes and set out different colors of frosting and sprinkles and all sorts of decorating stuff and have everyone decorate their own.  There can also be a winner for who's is the best, but that is optional.

4.  Have some sort of craft... maybe tote bags and fabric markers with hot glue and glitter and if you know how to sew and that doesn't take time, (I wouldn't know)...

5.  There's always Truth-or-Dare or games like that, scavenger hunts..... in the dark *muhaha* or any little games like that.

Those ideas are pretty much expense free, except for tote bags and things to decorate them and the sprinkles and such to decorate the cupcakes.  Oh, and prizes, but if you find the right place and the right stuff, it can end up being pretty cheap.  Hope this helps!  I actually just came up with all of that stuff sitting here, *prideful grin* so I will have to remember this thread if I do have a halloween party!!! :D    If you have any ideas for me, they would surely be excepted, too!  :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
