Happiness Challenge
There have been several of these threads in the past and I think it's time for another one. The idea is to challenge yourself everyday to post something that makes you happy. You could also do it every other day, once a week, whatever works for you. I'll start.
It makes me very happy when I wake to see the sun shining.

I love the moments right before a thunderstorm when the sky is all grey and it's very windy and there's anticipation in the air.

It always wonderful to start a new book.

The smell of bookstores, and also the atmosphere of bookstores. Especially if it's raining outside and you walk into a warm bookstore, the sound going from the repetition of rain to silence, with the beeping of a scanner and soft footsteps and the turning of pages. My favorite book smell is the inky smell of a new graphic novel. I love how crisp the pages of a novel are, before they've been turned hundreds of times. I love how ordered the shelves are. I love the sound footsteps make on the wooden floors, how sometimes I like to see just how silent I can be as I walk.

I love going to movie theaters (I haven't been in one for a year); the popcorn and the way everyone is silent and the previews before the movie and the kind of happy floating feeling you get after it's done.
