="Hi, is this top bunk taken?"= I gently push my book away and look at the AE who's approached me. She's twisting her fingers together nervously, so I give her a smile. "Nope, you go right ahead."
She smiles in return and drags her suitcase towards my- now our- bunk.
="Um, what are you reading?"= she asks.
"The Book Theif," I reply, holding it up for her to see. "My CBer finished not too long ago, so now I can get a turn." I push my braids away from my face. "I'm Daylily. Nice to meet you."
She nods. ="I'm Stormfly."=

Wow. Angel and Demon have a LOT of siblings... I really hope that won't overwhelm me. I'd like to get to know them, but it sounds like there will be quite a few AEs in this dorm.
I take a deep breath. I can do this. One step at a time. "Demon, I'm not sure who the math teacher is, but the homeroom teacher is my CBer, Luna- or Ms. Starr now! And speaking of homeroom," I continue, gaining a bit of confidence as I go, "Maybe we could head over there once your siblings settle in the dorm?" I bite my lip a little. I want to be on time. but I don't want to rush my dorm mates either. I hope the suggestion goes over well...
