idk what made me make this, I barely even read Cricket Magazine anymore.
but here I am I guess.
This threads for matching CBer's with songs. First i choose a CBer and give a brief explanation of them. Then you guys choose a song to go with em.
first CBer is Sammy Everlast. from my studying here are some things about her:
Sammy used to be on the CB under a different name at least 7 years ago, her older sister helped her ofc. Sammy returned with a new name on La'Crosse's "OC BOARDING SCHOOL" thread.
Sam's style of writing is mostly fantasy, and she apparently loves to give her OCs hard to pronounce last names and trauma.
apparently she has a personality disorder where she switches personalities really quickly, also insomnia.
she seems to be a very comedic person, mischievous but with a kind heart.
in my mind, she's the equivalant of Ink Sans. Sooooo chaotic good.

This is such a cool thread idea! To me, Sammy is like Basket Case by Green Day. Kind of punky, chaotic, and uplifting in the best way.
Here's some others I thought of:

I actually love Twenty One Pilots, so that's awesome! For you, I've always thought of Fidelity by Regina Spektor XD Not very creative, I know. I have some songs for other CBers as well, but I don't have time to write them down at the moment.

I might be using this thread a little differently than intended, but I'm jumping off Fi's example. Also I don't have my phone with my playlists out in front of me, so I'm just naming ones off the top of my head.
Fidelity: Fidelity by Regina Spektor (I mean, duh. But still, every time I hear this song I think of you.) Or Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls.
Win: Immortals by Fall Out Boy! Radioactive by Imagine Dragons used to be my default for you (also Believer by Imagine Dragons) but I like Immortals more now.
Quill: something soft, a little more alternative... Hey There Delilah, by Plain White T's.
Starch: Pompeii by Bastille, or Yellow by Coldplay.
Lumi: Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People? Maybe? It's not quite right, but close. I like it for more of the tune and the vibe, rather than the lyrics, so don't pay attention to those. Also Sunflower by Post Malone / Swae Lee, specifically the version from Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse. (Good movie. I watched it on a flight to Germany, pre-COVID.)
I'll do more later, but that's it for now!

@Fidelity- Hey, I love The Lumineers! Ho Hey is pretty good.
Lumi- something by Sleeping at Last... maybe one of the enneagrams or planets?
RR- Best Day of my Life by American Authors
AW- I'll always associate you with Imagine Dragons, so one of theirs.
Porcelain- I know you aren't around much, but whenever I listen to Master & a Hound by Gregory Alan Isakov, I always think of you and I'm not sure why.
Leafy- this is a little weird, but I'm thinking Ed Sheeran? XD maybe The A Team...
Quill- maybe Riptide by Vance Joy or Flowers in Your Hair by the Lumineers.
Star- maybe Suitcase Full of Sparks by Gregory Alan Isakov

Star, I love the song Iris! I do think I dug myself into a hole by naming myself after Fidelity by Regina Spektor. XD AW, Twenty One Pilots is one of my favorite bands! I think you're Ride because it goes from super chill and laid back to energetic and hip. And the drum beat is so snappy and clean.
LS: In addition to Ho Hey, you're Outskirts of Infinity by Ashes to Amber. I would HIGHLY recommend listening to it. It's by a super underrated band and it's totally you, I don't know how else to say it.
Jubi: Take Back the Power by The Interrupters. Energetic, pure pop punk.
Summer: Wake Me Up When September Ends by Green Day. I don't know why, the first line is literally "Summer has gone and past" XD.
Lumi: Fireflies by Owl City. I had to think long and hard about who was Fireflies but I think it's you. Fireflies use bioluminescence and the song is so hopeful and dreamy and optimistic like you.
Rainbow Riot: ME! by Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie. This song is just super happy and the music video is literally raining rainbows.

*gasp* you think i'm punk? and energetic?! I'm so honored to be proclaimed energetic by Fidelity, literally one of the most energetic CBers. I listened to the first 16 seconds and I like it!
okie now on to naming CBers as songs
-Fidelity, and Leeli are the Bob's Burgers theme. Super quirky and fun, and always warm and welcoming.
-La'crosse is the B99 theme. Always fun but also commanding and cool :3
-Velvet Serpent isssss one of the Alt-J songs (i forget what it's called)
-Nightfall is Blue World by Mac Miller

anyway, I see her as a couple different songs. here they are:

"Monster" by Kira & Gumi, Aruvn version - i chose the Aruvn cover because the version sounds a lot more Sammy-ish to me. it felt more chaotic and playful then the other. i could totally see her saying random lines to her AEs or friends.... idk that's just what I thought.
"Centuries: LEXIM Remix" by Fall Out Boy - I have no reason for this, it just seemed right.
"Light 'Em Up: Nick Thayer Remic" by Fall Out Boy - listen to the song, you'll understand
"Prince Ali" annapantsu Version - unlike everything else, this ones actually sung by a girl. so that's something.
"Soldier, Poet, King" by The Oh Hellos - I think it has to do with her immortal persona
"Infinite Power!" by TheFatRat - it's Sammy, guys
