Chatterbox: Down to Earth
Anyone else think
Anyone else think this is the most booooooooooring summer ever? I have nothing to do but swim and read and be on the CB. What are you doing? I wish there was something fun to do around here, but nope.

The OC Party is the most entertaining thing in the world. If you have any OCs, write about them having a party. Toy around with different POVs. Sit back and enjoy.
And I sure do pity you people whose summers have been derailed. Mine is pretty much normal.

My summer's actually been pretty ok, for once. I talk and do art and stuff with my friends over skype, and I've been writing. And of course I have my OCs and charries to keep me company ;)
I think Styxx wants cake. She says cakpz (cake please?).

All I have is like you, Strawberri, swimming, reading, and the CB. Except that I add homeschooling to the mix just because otherwise I would probably go out of my mind.

I totally thought it was going to be boring, but so far it's actually been pretty exciting. The best thing was getting my sweet piggies, who take up some free time. Also, we visit our grandparents a lot. And I'm taking an art class. So when I have free time, I haven't used up all my things to do!
I totally sympathize with you, though. When online school was still going on I was really bored. We didn't have much of anything scheduled, because we still had school and we couldn't go anywhere at that point, but school was boring and didn't take up all day.

It's both boring and stressful at once. I have things going on in August, and I had things in June, but July is totally empty. I have a TON of summer work to do that I need to get done in July, and when I say a ton, I mean a ton. I'm going into my senior year of high school, so I have my college essay to write, but I'm also part of something called the IB program, which means that all my classes are AP level, but two years long, so I have to stay on top of all the material I learned last year and learn new material for the upcoming year.
The coolest part of my summer has been summer camp, actually. The one I was supposed to get a job at got cancelled, so a couple friends and I made our own summer camp for the kids that live nearby, and we run the whole thing! The camp ran for two weeks in June, and there will be two more weeks in August. It's a lot of work to plan activities for every day, handle all of the finances, and communicate with the parents, but we've gotten so close with the kids that it's worth it.
Anyways, outside of all that, I am lucky to be able to meet up with friends in person every once in a while, and to live in a place where I can bike all over town and explore cliff jumping places and swimming holes. I really miss school a lot, and I just wish we could go back like normal again.

The camp thing is so cool! That's such an awesome idea. Was it a camp for little kids or older ones closer to my age? :)

Aw thanks, I'm glad you like the idea! Most of the kids are 9-10 years old (my sister is 9, so they're mostly people she knows), but we do have a few younger ones who are 5-6. 12 is a bit old for the camp, but several people had siblings who were 12-13 that we let come as junior counselors!

Nice! My siblings are both kind of in between lol.
