Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Facebook.Doe

Facebook.

Does anyone else do it? I made an account yesterday and now I'm addicted! None of my friends are ever on when I am, though.

I don't social network. At all. I find it pointless, but I admit that I can kind of see it's positive points. For instance, my dad (who has a Facebook) has reconnected with a lot of his old high school and college friends that he had lost touch with. A couple of my friends are also into it, but...I don't know. Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter all get on my nerves sometimes.

Yes, finally someone elso who doesn't quite see the point of it. I used to have a facebook, but it kind of expired on me because I hadn't gone on it for a few months.:)

No, I don't have one. :\ And I've never posted any

pictures of myself on the internet, either. That just

doesn't feel safe enough for me.

Well, I'm only eleven, but to me, as Allison said, it all would feel kind of weird... they grate on my nerves a tad as well. Sure, it can be great to "reconnect" with classmates or whatever, but... I think social neworking is sort of silly. For me, anyway. *shrug*

...Um, howevah.. my mom did just announce that she has found a "social networking site for kids," third through eighth grades. Maggie thinks this is brilliant! I think this is outlandish.

I'll lurk on it, though, to satisfy everyone else... Though it sounds rather childish and could never measure up to the Chatterbox. :)

I know a Catholic one! It's John 654, google it. Problem is it's not the same as facebook, where you can find a ton of your friends.

I'm not allowed to EVER have one, and I don't want one anyways. But I WILL make a Twitter when I turn 13 because my father has one and it looks like fun.

Hi Megan! :) About posting pictures of myself on the Internet... well, I have no clue how in the first place. If I did, I probably wouldn't, but it feels safe *enough* to me... I mean, on our school website, they sometimes put up pictures and stuff, and sometimes I've been in them, and that's totally fine with me.

:) I understand that. When I went to public school

I had been on the local school channel before, and

that was fine with me. I just don't want my picture on

the internet where anyone could see it. I don't know...

*shrugs* I'm just sort of paranoid about things like that,

I guess. :\

Well, for your photos you can make them so only your friends or friends friends or just certin people can see them.
