Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Does anyone notice

Does anyone notice that you see a lot of things by the same people that you know and are familiar with, but the people you see in the magazine are people that you've naver heard of before? Maybe it's just that I'm a newbie.

I think that they sometimes post old things, cause Cerinthe (i think that'swho it was) said that they put one of her old posts in with her old name.

Well I don't remember saying that (about my name), though it has happened...XD. anyway, I think I saw somewhere that the stuff from the CB that appears in the Letterbox might be selections from a while ago that fit the theme/topics of that issue, rather than just the most recent stuff. I'm not a 100% sure, though. Admins do you know?.....

Yes, we do try to print some things in Letterbox that match themes in the issue, not just the most recent letters. Submissions on Chatterbox remain posted forever. We prefer not to print something that is over two years or so old, but it could happen. And our production schedule for the magazines means we have to work many months in advance. E.g., the July 2020 Letterbox is all set at this poin, and in early May we'll be selecting letters and comments for September 2020.

As far as I can tell, half the notes in the Letterbox are from people who wrote to Cricket (i.e. not CBers), and the other half come from the CB, but not necessarily recently, and some of them are from Kyngdom or under psuedonyms. This month, I have an entry in the magazine (ah!), and I'm pretty sure it's from the thread I made about Passover from last year. And there's Floof's Monthly Check-up for April from last year, only with all the dates changed to apply to 2020. That's definitely the weirdest one. :)

Yeah, I got published in the magazine (yay!) and it was a post from when my name was Angela. Congrats to anyone who got published by the way.

I noticed that too! They once posted a very old post of mine, back when I went under a different name, and it was very embarrassing because it was when I thought I had quoted Albus Dumbledore. I'd messed it up and mixed it with half of a Pokémon quote *facepalm* my siblings made fun of me for days.
