Chatterbox: Down to Earth
Hi all! I’m new here so I decided I’d better introduce myself.
I’m really excited to meet all the CBers and to see all your postings.
I love playing violin, dancing, practicing Aikido, reading, writing, listening to music and being outdoors. Some things I like are: sunsets and sunrises, dawn and twilight, the night sky, imagining things and birds of prey(especially Peregrine Falcons).
I have been playing violin for quite a while now and it’s one of the things I couldn’t live without. I don’t think I want to be a professional violinist but I plan to keep playing my whole life.
I am a little overprotective of my instrument because I care for it a lot. Is anyone else like that?
Music is a really big part of my life. There is almost never a day when I don’t listen to or make music.
That’s all for now! See you around CB.

Hello Strawbberri! I like your name too. See you around.

Welcome to the CB, Peregrine! I can’t say I’m a huge fan of (playing) music, but I feel that way about dance: there’s almost never a day when I don’t watch videos of or practice dance. I do Irish dance; how about you?

Hi Kitten! I used to do Irish step dance but now I do creative modern. There’s a lot of improv in creative modern, it’s really fun.

Hi Peregrine! Nice to meet you.
I'm MountainSpirit. I play violin too, and like you, I don't think I could live without it. (and yes, I am overprotective of my instrument). I also love Swallows and Amazons. I don't think I've ever met someone who actually knew about it. I enjoy swimming and being with my friends as well.

Hi MountainSpirit! I really like your name. It reminds me of a piece I listen to, Mountain Spring by Dean Marshall.
I’m so happy to meet someone who has read Swallows and Amazons. I’ve only met a couple people who have read it.
What kind of music do you play? I play classical, and a little bluegrass and folk music.
Looking forward to seeing you around CB.

Peregrine,
I play mostly classical music. I also like to play some fiddling music and I play lots of different things for my school orchestra.

I play in my local youth orchestra. We mostly play classical but once we premiered a contemporary piece. It took me a while to get used to but I liked it in the end. There were a lot of new techniques used which was a little challenging. It was fun though. I have also played pieces by Soon Hee Newbold in a music camp I used to do.
