This is just a message to the all-powerful Admin. I remember when the Chatterbox first opened in 2008 and logging in that first day, and it is so warm and nostalgic to see. I can't believe I was 12 when I first started regularly posting here - I'm 23 now! Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you, Admin, for providing us with such a safe place to learn and express feelings and opinions amongst peers. The friendships I made were so deep and real. It's 2020, and I'm still close friends with many people I met here Thank you, Admin, for keeping this world going over the years. I can only imagine the other friendships you've created.

Paige, I'm the one Admin who's been here since the beginning of Chatterbox. I remember you and the others you mention! You said your comment wasn't for posting, but I hope you'll forgive me for posting a bit of it. I want to reply to you, and your sentences above will help this make sense. I do think of CB alums from time to time and wonder what they're doing. So thank you for telling us. I'm so happy to hear from you! Congratulations on your engagement. I wish you every happiness. A few months ago we heard from BHR (Blonde Heroines Rule), who was married and expecting a baby sometime soon. Do you remember her?
We had a Chatterbox "reunion" on February 14, 2019, when oldtimers came back to visit for a few days. I think the next official date we've set for that is February 14, 2023, but my secondary suggestion is for alums to log in on any Valentine's Day. Just in case you forget which year. Or check in anytime! We love hearing from former CBers!

I'm technically supposed to be on a hiatus right now, but I saw your thread and wanted to say hi-you don't know me, but I know you! Weren't you the person who got your letter/CB post into the Cricket Letterbox a lonnnnggggg time ago, the one that said that Mainers should write in if they hadn't all been eaten by moose? Because my older sister Cleo wrote a reply to that letter saying that she lived in Maine and moose are vegetarian and she'd only seen them in nature preserves, and that got put in the Letterbox too. Anyway, we have that magazine, and I've also seen lots of your CB posts from a while ago. And I was always really happy to know that another CBer lived in Maine, because I'm from Portland.
But anyways thank you for visiting, yes the Admins are awesome, if you're engaged like the Admin said then congratulations, and it's really cool how older CBers keep coming back to visit! BHR, Blue Fairy, and Violet all visited recently. :)
