Well, I have always, always, ALWAYS wanted to be an author, but that's like, my dream job. It's a little far-fetched (at least at the moment) so my "I'll-settle-for-this-job" is either a teacher or a salesman.

I've whittled down to two. I've either wanted to be a psychologist or a nurse. I've been debating on maybe being a veterinarian.

I've always wanted to be an author. Specifically a YA realistic fiction one (sci-fi might be another option though). I know being an author doesn't pay much, so a middle-school English or History teacher might be another option.
Does anyone have a Holland Code? Mine is ASI (artistic, social, investigator). If you don't know what that is, it's a personality test that helps you pick a career. Your result is a group of three out of six letters. The letters are RIASEC. Each letter stands for something. The are:
R: Realistic- they prefer to work with things then people (so like environmentalists or veterinarians)
I: Investigator- work with ideas more then things or people (scientists)
A: Artistic- honestly exactly what it sounds like. (english, drama, and art teachers fall in this catagory, as well as writers
S: Social- ^^^^^ (therapists and people who help other people)
E: Enterprising- work with people and ideas more then things. (Buisnessmen/woman)
C: Conventional- Work with paper and numbers (mathmaticians, engineers)

Hey Secret! After reading your message I decided to take the Holland Code rest, and my results were ASI too! I wonder though, are many of us Chatterboxers the same? Maybe because we have a lot of shared interests (reading, writing, music, learning, art, helping people/ the earth), we are similar. If all the chatterboxers took that test, how would our results change or stay the same? So I encourage y’all who read this to take the test! It would be interesting to find out.
And that is me demonstrating the Investigative side of my personality!! yay!

I would love to work at the CMA, Clearwater Marine Aquarium in Flordia! It's in the movies "Dolphin Tale" and "Dolphin Tale 2" and I would LOVE to see real dolphins not just in books, calendaers and movies, but up close. I would also like to be an actress in a Disney Channel show or a movie or both! But if I can't get those, I guess I would work at a pet store.

Ugh, I still dont know what I really want to be! Like, I mostly just want a job where I can use my creativity and art to do something to do something good in the world, specifically stuff to help the environment, and any disadvantaged people. I kinda feel like sometimes you have to choose between helping the environment and helping people, but I really want to do both! And I thought, maybe I could start an eco- friendly and fair trade (good wages for the workers) company where I could design and sell... something. Like maybe clothes, or stuff for your house or whatever. But then I remember that one thing that I've learned from Girl Scouts is that I am NOT the salesperson type, and probably my company would never make it big, and anyway that doesn't really solve the world's problems. Like, I love nature so much, more than anyone my age I know personally, and it saddens me to know that humans are constantly destroying the earth, this beautiful, wonderful Earth that we take for granted, and the majority of us don't even do anything about it, including me, alot of the time. I just dont want to be one of those normal people who have a normal job and a normal life and well maybe they had a pretty good life and they were a nice person, but they didn't really do anything important for the world. I'm not criticizing these people of course, and they are so important too, but for whatever reason I just always want to do something more than just the normal stuff. But most definitely wouldn't want to be a celebrity, I would just hate that. I also really want to write a book, maybe a graphic novel. Anyway wow this really turned into a rant. I honestly don't care if anyone reads this, I just needed to get it off my chest.

I think you might enjoy using your creativity to spread awareness about the topics you're passionate about. There are many cool artists that influence a lot of people with their work. For example, Billie Eilish and Twenty One Pilots make really good songs that address mental health. I don't know if you might like doing something like that with writing or art. Just an idea! :D

Omg Cello i want to be an author and marine biologist too!!!!! XD I find marine biology SO interesting - specifically learning about the animals - and nature documentaries, especially on the ocean, are my favorite thing to watch, pretty much.
I'd also like to be an illustrator and possibly an actress. Even fashion designer though I haven't thought that one over so much.

That's really funny cerinthe! if I was a marine biologist, I would probaby focus on jellyfish, I did a paper on them last year and they're just SO COOL!! you reminded me though, I think sometimes that it would be fun to be an actress. But also, I don't think I would enjoy all of the being perfect and social. It would stress me out. A girl can dream.

I aspire to be an animator and I'm starting an internet channel this summer.

Why can't I say the name of a popular website. It's not a link, it's the name of a site commonly used by literally everybody.
We generally do not post the names of outside websites, particularly those that may contain content beyond Chatterbox's guidelines. Thanks for understanding. --Admin

That's so cool! I've tried animation and it's so time consuming. It took me 20 hours (I actually timed, I'm not even exagerating) to do a 6 second clip at 8fps. I'm a very slow artist. Good luck with your channel!
