Dreams 2! The

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Dreams 2! The

Dreams 2! The other one was getting long, so here's a new one.

I've never been able to dream lucidly. I wish I could. Whenever I have a nightmare, I start to think, "This CAN'T be happening!", and I realize that it's not, but as soon as that realization comes, I can't dream anymore, and I merely wake up.

I had a weird dream last night. In it, several book characters were real, but the books weren't. There was a certain school, and one class had a 'Lake Day', where the students went without a teacher (it was a DREAM, after all) to several lakes on different boats. The students were Cymbril* from The Star Shard (by Fredric Durbin), Sam‡ from A Tale of Time City (by DWJ), who was suddenly Cymbril's brother, Kitº from Dark Lord of Derkholm (also by DWJ), a nameless black-haired boy, and several unnamed magical creatures (phoenixes, etc). They sailed through several lakes. It was fun, but nothing much happened. All I really remember about it was that they discussed East (a book by Edith Pattou). They finally came across their last lake. This one was very eventful. It was dirty and algae-filled, and the wind blew hard. Their boat wouldn't go where they wanted it to. They looked up and saw the Dursleys• from HP, who were laughing at them, and throwing pies. Sam ate every pie he could, but some were falling into the water. He began to cry. One phoenix was hit and drowned. Then, there was a sword fight between the students and the Dursleys. Before it was over, I woke up.

* A brave, kind, intelligent, half-elf girl

‡ An unintelligent 8-year-olde boy who is addicted to pie

º A giant, proud, strong, loyal-but-somewhat-selfish (in my opinion) adolescent griffin

• A family of 3. Mr. Vernon Dursley was a large and purple-ish bully, with a very minuscule neck. Mrs. Petunia Evans Dursley was a thin, bony, and horse-like busybody. Dudley Dursley, their son, was 11 (in my dream), blonde, plump, selfish, demanding, and much doted upon by his mother. All 3 Dursleys despised magic and magical creatures (such as griffins and elves).

You can train yourself to dream lucidly. I did it when I was like seven. But I hate it, because in dreams you lack common sense and can do the stupidest stuff if you know it's not real. And besides that it often leads to desperately trying to wake up and not being able to. It's crazy how real my dreams get. I swear I've had dreams where I pinched myself and could feel it, and I ate stuff and could taste it!

Omygosh! *cracks up laughing* Sam, Cymbril, Kit, and the DURSLEYS?! And I think Kit is awesome, esp. in the sequel, The Year of the Griffin, when he and Blade are some of the greatest wizards in the world. GO KIT!! And Blade rocks, too. But about dreams--one time I dreamed that I had to tell my friend Nick something and it was really urgent but for some reason my arch-enemy, Nora (not real names) kept getting in the way and if anyone exept for Nick heard it the world would explode. And then all of a sudden everybody exept for me disappeared and it got really dark and for some reason I knew that that was the time that the monsters came out and so I hid in a hut but a monster lived there but she looked like a nice old lady and she gave me "pancakes" and for some reason with every pancake I ate there was a clone of me, and then Nick came along and killed the old lady and all the clones of me exept for the one that he knew was me (I don't know how) and then Nora showed up again and then I woke up. WEEEIRD!

Wow. That's weird. Why do we all keep dreaming so weirdly? I need to read Year of the Griffin... I think I had a nightmare last night, but it's really hard to remember. I feel really random right now.

Hey, I had a really weird dream last night! Here is is:

I was at school but I didn't know it was the first day of school so I didn't get my TI 30X IIS Texas Instruments Scientific Calculator (I need that exact kind) but I put my binders in my locker except my binders were splatter-painted. I left them in my locker and went to science class when I realized I didn't feel like being in science. :) So I walked back to my locker and it had mutated into a giant binder! There were three large, splatter-painted locker-binders. I ran into my math class and found the entrance to an attic. I climbed up there so my locker-binders couldn't get me because they had big teeth. :)  In the attic there was a tiny pool where this tiny person walked around in. As long as there was water in the pool I would be safe. So I crawled along the tunnel until I fell into my morning room. The priest from church was there, looking at my guinea pig, Zoey. Someone poured water in Zoey's food bowl but it was for the priest but Zoey began eating it like it was soup. Then there was a sunset....  It was all very strange...

I haven't in a while, but when I first started reading Harry Potter, I would dream long drawn out things from Hermione's point of view. The funny thing is, I can never really remember what they're about afterwards.

Gese, HP gives me weird dreams, too. I'll give an example of one I had after reading the 7th one, but for those of you who haven't read the entire series, it won't make very much sense. Just a warning.

It started out true to the book, but when Harry, Ron, and Hermione went out to look for Horcruxes, everything changed. They started to get really paranoid about being discovered, so they decided to disguise themselves as Muggle girls – all 3 of them! Harry was Veronica Dudley, Ron was Stella Chunpico, and Hermione was Penny Redfire. They got a job at a horse stable, and looked for Horcruxes in their spare time. Finally, they destroyed all of the Horcruxes (which were at Voldemort's orphanage) and went looking for Voldemort (they were really stupid in the dream). When they found him, they tried to stick their wands up his nose like Harry had done to the troll in The Sorcerer's Stone. That was obviously a wrong move. Voldemort killed them. They died. I woke up.

I suppose that was more of a nightmare, really. Oh, well.

okay so this was a realy odd dream I had tonight. If some parts seem unclear, ask and I'll explain

our family friend came, and he was a wizard, but nobody liked to
talk about it. I summoned up all my courage and asked him to ride on
his broomstick. He said “Yes, but you're not gonna like it” but
afte a few failed attempts I finally got it to fly and it was like
being in a plane simulator. Then harry potter apeared. Then Selena
gomez appeared and she snapped her fingers to make a swingset. Then
she disappeared. Then Evil witch people came and Eugene used toon
town gags to kill most of them but the head evil witch person
started chasing people and putting scraps of fabric on their ankles
and wrists. She could not get get to me though since I was on a broom
stick, and she chased me all through the house and it was really
scary. Finally she caught up to me and put on on my ankle. I ripped
it off and tied it around her neck and chocked her. I then said “Yay
I win!” and she said “NO you don't that was just a good idea”
And disappeared. Whenever we ripped the bands of our ankles they
appeared again. Then we went to a wood store where everything was
made of wood. There was one section that had an evil smell and on the
sign it said “evil clown witch people only.” so we stayed away.
One little girl went into the section and a band apeared on her
ankle. She started yelling and her mom came and asked what was going
on. The evil clown witch person said “much as you could buy and
sell things in this store, you could also sell people. This band is
your price tag (only the clown witch people could read it.). If you
take it off and run, a nickel gets off your price for every foot you
run, before the band apears again, until the band disappears. If you
take it of and run while one of my people is sending bad thoughts,
then a nickel is added for every foot.” Then we walk out of the
store into a supermarket, and as a last resort, I take of my band and
tie it around a roast chicken. It appears again anyway. Whenever I
take it off and run, time slows. Then I woke up.

odd, isnit?

Gese, but who're Selena Gomez and Eugene? What's toon town?

Eugene is my brother. Selena Gomez is some famous person who has a tv show in which she is a witch. Toon town is a weird computer game where you drop pianos on bad guys. Google it if you want. I never played it.

I had a dream when I couldn't remember most of it, but my parents and I were at a house and there was a beach. I had to get to the parking lot on the other side of the house but there were golems (like the ones from final fantasy crystal chronicles) in the way. I went but either I or someone else was attacked by the golems. Then I can't remember until there is this girl doing schoolwork and her parents are trying to help her but she doesn't need help.

That dream was pretty recent...
