Ok, so today I was drinking some homemade iced coffee with a straw, and I started thinking. Ice floats, but straws usually go down to the bottom of your cup. That means that you're drinking the part without ice and therefore the warmest part of the drink unless you fill the cup alllll the way up with ice- and that's a LOT of wasted ice.
And I thought 'that's ineffecient'.
So now I'm doing a very important science experiment that I have dubbed "freezing marbles into ice cubes to see if I can get them to sink".
This will probably move quickly once the thread goes up, so here we go!

Update #1: There is a thin layer of ice on top of the ice cubes. They are starting to freeze.

You have no idea how happy your experiment just made me. I finally know that I am not the only one who experiments just because I can.
