I made a new friend this week. She doesn’t like pizza, potatoes, candy, puppies, kittens, or sunshine.
But you know what she does like? Cemeteries!
Friends are so awesome. They really bring a fresh perspective to your life.
Autumn says <fryy>. She’s right, actually. My friend doesn’t like fries, either.

She doesn't like KITTENS?! That's an INSULT to my NAME!! (Just kidding. I respect your friend's opinions and understand that not everyone likes everything amazing. But seriously...)

Friends are awesome. It's especially awesome to have close friends, because that way you know more about them, and they each give you a different perspective on so many things. I have many friends who are diverse in so many ways and who all teach me a lot.

Ooh! I have a friend! Her name is Lily and we just became close friends over the summer. The first time I visited her house, it was late after rehearsal, so it was kinda dark and her mom, Lily, and I wanted to make s’mores, and we did, and they were delicious. But while we were roasting marshmallows, I was eating a s’more and I had my stick hanging over the bench we were sitting on. Lily turns around and gets spooked by the stick, but that’s not the funny part, she yelled, almost at the top of her lungs, “LOOMING DEATH!” upon seeing this overhanging stick.
Here’s another Lily Story:
We were kayaking, and we’d reached a shallow bit, and Lily said something along the lines of “Oh, it’s really shallow here.” And I thought she said something about Jimmy Fallon, so I kinda yelled “Jimmy Fallon?!” And then her brother knocked us over. So it went like.
”Jimmy Fallon?!”
*kerploosh*.
And that’s the story of how Jimmy Fallon was almost my last words.

My friend Jordan is so awesome. In the fifth grade, we had to do a project on what we wanted to be when we grew up. She chose a botanist (I went with a novelist). This one kid called her Jordan the Plant, and now it's an inside joke. Jordan the Plant is awesome. I also call her Tris, and she calls me Katniss, after our favorite book characters.
My friend Lynie (short for Lynia) and I really like to play the game Life, and this one time, I got this card that said I had to tell a joke. I told a good old dad joke, and Lynie laughed so hard she fell of the bed we were playing on.
This girl Jessica and I love to explore this creek behind my house. We go in with our rainboots and just walk around, getting our feet soaked and naming beaches after Harry Potter settings. She's like my sister. We never argue, we don't fight, we can tell each other anything. This one time, she got water in her boots. We sat down on a beach we named Privet Drive because there's a remnants of a chimney on it. She took off her boot and a waterfall came out. That same trip, we found this dead animal corpse and named it Joe the frogsquirrel because it looked like a frog as well as a squirrel.
There's this kid. His name's David. He's awesome. He calls me and Jordan Hermione and Tonks and says we're the smartest people we know. We always reply, ''Yeah right, Harry. Who got that A on the hardest test of the year, huh?''
Jordan, Lynie, Jessica, and David are the nicest, funniest, supportive people I know.
