The Pet Park
Hello, and welcome to the Pet Park! This is the place to bring stories and memories of your real-life pets and share them. It doesn't matter if they're a dog, rock, birb, or hamster--all stories of any pets are welcomed here!
As a foster sister (my mom will foster dogs from time to time), I have so many stories to share! I'll go into more detail when this is posted, but I've fostered six pups so far, and one adult. Our family also ended up fostering a kitten, but that's another story. The point is, I'd love to hear your weird pet stories. Have a non-traditional pet? Please, tell me all about it! Have a dog or a cat? I love those too!
Anyway, welcome to the Pet Park, and enjoy your time here!

Ooh! Fun idea. I can never think of any stories to share, but I do have a dog Simba, a hamster Hermy, some fish (we don't have names for them because we have several), and that's it. Maybe I'll think of a good story later...

Once I bought a beta fish. The people at the store told me that it was male, but I refused to believe it and named it Shina, of all things. Later I gave in and renamed it Larry. Larry died of laziness and old age. I miss him. He was beautiful.
There were also these two other fish, white with black stripes on the sides, who were very strong. One day I came home from school and found that one had jumped out of the tank and was lying on the floor, dead. I was kind of happy because those fish took all the food from the other ones. As for the other - One night I heard these noises coming from the direction of my closet, and I was so scared. I thought someone was in there, moving my stuff. Turns out it was just the other fish jumping around (the fish tank is next to my closet). I put it back in - I think it died of old age later.

I also once had a beautiful snail named Herman. He was brown, with a black spiraling line on his shell. At the end of the line was a silver dot! He was sooooo cute.

Today I wanted to make a quick post about my first foster puppies, Max and Molly.
The rescue we foster from requires you to foster puppies in pairs if they're young enough (if there's an odd number, that sibling is fostered by itself), so we ended up with these two! I couldn't find a great picture of them on the computer, but if anyone's interested, I have a really cute picture of them on my tablet.
Molly is the cream one. She was adorable, playful, and very cuddly, as she'd walk right up to you and sit in your lap (if you were on the floor). Max, the brown mix, was really smart, and just as playful as his sister. He went to a family that I know from theater, and we even got to visit him once! He's in a family with two other dogs and gets along well with them.
I don't have the largest story about the first two, but what made me sad about them was that we had Molly over Christmas, whereas Max was adopted before her. It may seem sad that you have to leave the puppies, and it was, but I just really wanted her to have a forever home by Christmas.
After that, she did get a home! It was a great fit for her, as they already had a pet that she became great friends with. The owner had a cat she knew was already good with dogs (she had a dog previously), and playful Molly got along really well with it!
...Yeesh, I meant for this to be a small post...

I'm kinda tempted to write a long, boring post about my numerous cats and their relationships with each other and/or dramatic disappearances/deaths, but as I said it'd be boring. XD
Hmm... otherwise I just have a single cat and a rabbit now, both of which are docile and lazy and therefore I do not have any funny stories about them. Maybe I will write a post about my cat history when I have the time...
