Hello world! It is a beautiful rainy day, and I'm super hyped because I'm joining the Chatterbox!
Here's a little bit about me ^u^
I love poetry! Bouncy poetry, sweet poetry, dark poetry-- I love it all. the rhythm and the way that the language fits like a puzzle... It just makes me smile!
I really like old literature, not as much to read for the story (which is also fun, but it can be a little too dense to be immersive sometimes. Or maybe I'm an airhead. Or maybe both!) but because I enjoy dissecting the symbolism and talking about it. Do you think there would be interest in a CB classics book club? I think that would be fun!
I'm in 9th grade, and boy oh boy is it tough. I'm trying, though!
Drawing cartoons and other stuff is my biggest hobby. I do mostly digital, but I also doodle everywhere (my homework notes are a total mess)! I've looked around and there are so many talented artists on here, so i'm really excited to maybe join the community!
I'm using a lot of exclamation points right now-- I swear I don't always do that, I'm just excited to be here!

Hi Bubblegum! I love your name! I'm Esile! I'm kinda new here too!
I also like poetry, though not as much as I like VERY thick novels. I like symbolism a lot, too, especially symbolism that's hard to catch. Ooh, I'm glad you like to draw! I like drawing too, though I'm not very good at it and I've never posted any of my art on here. My ultimate favorite hobby is writing stories though! I've tried poetry, and let me say, it's not been very good...
Anyway, welcome to the CB!!!! Here's a link to the Ultimate Guide, which should answer most of your questions. If you have any others though, just ask and I'm sure one of these other lovely CBers will answer it for you!

Oh, also, I wanted to highlight this particular information from the ultimate guide, because when I read the ultimate guide I did not see this and was very confused. This is copied from the Ultimate Guide thread.
'TOPPING: Because of a glitch in the system, the first comment on a NEW POST sends the post to the back pages. To find it quickly, go to the section where you posted the post (e.g. CaC, Inkwell, etc.) then sort the "Submitted by" column to most recent by clicking on the actual words "Submitted by" (usually twice is enough). To send the NEW POST back to the front pages, WAIT UNTIL THE FIRST COMMENT APPEARS, then make a second comment. This is called topping a post. Anyone can top a post by making the second comment on the post. If the second comment is made before the first comment is visible, the post remains in the back pages. :('
So there you go! I don't know if you would have seen that by yourself or not, but better safe than sorry.

Ooh, I'm so glad you asked... hehe... Well, I ADORE The Hunger Games (The whole series, though Mockingjay is the best), and The Giver and all its companions, and Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter, and Connect the Stars, and Paper things... I could go on forever. I ride my bike to the library every weekend!! What about you, what are some of your favorite books??

Hi Quill, nice to meet you! I both write it and read it, what about you? And thanks for making yourself open for questions, I was kind of wondering how the comment posting works? It's reviewed by the Admins, right? Do they edit stuff sometimes, because I feel like I saw that mentioned in a post.
Yes, we review each comment before it's posted. Sometimes we edit out words or sentences that don't quite gel with the Chatterbox guidelines. --Admin

Poetry is cool, I think. I don't read nearly enough of it. There's actually a poetry class at my school, but unfortunately I didn't get to take it this year.

By the way, is the question mark part of your name, or a flourish you put when signing?

Indeed I have, though not very recently. I made a random headshot of a girl last week, I'll attach that. It's just a sketch, but it's in pen and colored pencil, which is what I use most often.
The question mark is part of my name, although it can be dropped if it gets weird with other punctuation; the way you just used it is a good example.

Hi Bubblegum! I'm Icy! I don't really have too much to say about myself as I'm not great at that stuff, but I'm a fourteen-year-old theater nerd. I love writing and write anonymously on the Inkwell a bit too much.
This is my third-ish year on the CB, going on fourth. I'm a nerd for CB history, especially anything to do with Kyngdom. I'm not the expert in poetry or art, but I like reading/seeing them, lol.
