As a great man once said, "True love is the greatest thing in the world... Except for a good MLT, where the mutton and nice and lean, and the tomatoes are so perky! I love that!"
Sorry, I should probably be taking this seriously. True love is as important as how you're willing to treat it.

I don't know you at all Marigold, but I'm going to depart from the CB with this:
You have an incredible capacity to love, and holding onto the idea that there is one true love out there for you will destroy you in the end. There isn't one person that you'll fall in love with. But you might not realize that you love people if you think about love in terms of soulmates, or romance, or anything like that.
If your family loves you, cherish that.
Build loving relationships with friends.
If it happens, fall in love with somebody and work hard to keep that relationship healthy and fulfilling.
Love yourself. Even if it takes you a long time to figure out how, accepting yourself and loving the person you are and the person you will become will help you show that love to other people.
But my main point is to love your friends. To me, friends are the most important relationships to have. If you ever date someone, you need to be a close friend with that person. The capacity to love is amazing.
Love can be fickle. Sometimes the qualities someone likes about you can grow to be tiresome and unattractive in their eyes, even if that's what drew them to you in the first place. However, there are always going to be people who see you and all your flaws and still love you, and it's important to hold tight to those people. True love is something that's been debated for a while, mostly on the basis of whether or not it's real. The way I see it, true love is in your best friends, in your boyfriend, in your mom tucking you in for bed. There are always going to be people who will only notice the bad in you. True love is found in the people who notice (and bring out) the good. And that, to me, is one of the most important things in life.

Depends how much you value it, if you believe in it at all. I don’t believe in ‘true’ love so much as lasting love, passionate love, etc., but I do consider some measure of love vital to my life. Doesn’t have to be romantic, although I must say I am intensely curious about that.

True love, at least in the romantic sense is in my opinion way overhyped. Your friends are the most important people in your life and right now, at the stage of life that I’m going to assume that you’re at, true love is very far away and certainly not necessary. While it’s all very nice for anyone who happens to find it, calling something “true love” makes it sound like something out of a fairy tale - as in, not real. Real love is more complicated, and more messy. It’s more work. Maybe this is just my perspective, but I think you can live a perfectly happy life without true love. It’s friends that really get you through.

No, Soren and S.E. are different people. S.E.'s an older CBer who's been around for a while, but left I guess a long time ago but came back for the reunion. Soren Infinity isn't leaving the CB, at least as far as I know.

@Twilgirl, as Leafpool said, I'm not S.E, and if all goes as planned, I won't be leaving for a long time.
As for true love, I don't have any real experience with it, but I would rather it finds me than I go seek it. Life isn't centered around your 'soul mate'.

I think that true love cannot be searched for; only found in a startling realization. True love, to me, is so much more than romance and kisses-- it's late night texting, being on the phone for hours without realizing, picking someone's voice out of the crowd and feeling a spark of happiness... creased love letters, not romantic ones, but ones exchanged between friends; chocolate brought to you after days of crying; inside jokes and raucous laughter; secrets shared in the corner booth of a tiny local diner. To me, that is true love; and this is my love letter.

First of all, I'm going to ask this.
What is your definition of "True Love"? Like, to you, what does it mean?

ONE SECOND!!! Not to change the subject, but Soren Infinity, DID YOU JUST SAY YOU'RE LEAVING THE CB??!!!
Wait, is S.E. not the same person as Soren? Oh boy, that'd be awkward...

Aw, thank you! It was inspired by one of my friends. I might actually show it to her later-- we do say that we love each other, actually;.
