l'mmmm back!
l'mmmm back!
Sort of.
(in reality l don't even know if l'm been remembered *coughs*)
Anyways. My eleven year-old self thought l needed an edgy name, so this is what l'm stuck with.
l'm Shady! l joined around four years ago, and left around 2017. Which is just....such a weirdly long time to think about. Good grief.
l still do most of the things l used to do. l draw stuff! And listen to too many podcasts. And do sports! l love sports. l ski and swim mostly. l'm a homeschooled child who does public school as a hobby.
Good to see you all!! l'm gonna stick around for a couple days to see everyone.

Hi! I remember you I think! I joined in late 2016 so we had a little bit of overlap.

Shadow!!!! (too many exclamation points ... but I've missed you!) *hugs* It's so good to see you! I should tell you thank you for joining my awful first roleplay-it's a journey which I hope to continue, and may God bless you. (That sounds awfully sappy, but it's the only way I can explain it.) How is swim? I'm honestly not great at it, lol, but I love watching and doing it.
Question: Have you gotten into D&D? A lot of the CBers who are in high school seem to have, and it seems like your style, lol.

Aw, thank you for the sappiness, l don't mind :D How is Japan? l know it was probably sad to leave, but living there soudns so dang cool. Do you know if/when you would come back to the US?
l'm not swimming right now, but it's been going well. l really, really wish l could do D&D, honestly. l do know people who play, but l feel like it'd be weird to ask about it? l dunno. l don't know them super well.

:))
Japan is cool. I am so thankful for the chance to live abroad; it's super cool and ... enlightening, I guess. Before, I'm afraid that was just ... too white, I guess, and I could only go "oh, that's Asian, but now I can go "I'm fairly certain this is Chinese, I think that's Thai, and yes, that's totally Japanese." Also: the food. It is amazing, and I'm going to miss it so much. Which, lol, brings me to your next topic of conversation: yes, we will be going back to the states, not sure where to exactly, but we will definitely be leaving in about a year now. Which, it's kind of crazy to think that we're so close to having been here for two years. It's been such a long time, and yet so short.
That's awesome! Swimming is the best. You're not swimming due to the weather, right?
Just go ahead and ask them. I am so serious. And if they say no, just get a bunch of other friends and be like "oyyyy, i've got this game, do you want to try iiiitttt?" This has been what I've done. The two groups I am in now, well we met like this:
Group 1: "Hey friendies, I've got all the books. I'll be the master of your fate, you get to make characters, and to lock each other in closets." Everyone: "YO THE ART IN YOUR BOOK IS COOL. Let's do it."
Group 2: I had no idea who these people were. I had literally never met them (though I did recognize one girl, I had never talked to her) but one of the guys was flipping through the Dungeon Master's Guide. So I was like "heyyyy, do y'all play D&D?"
Guy holding the book: "Oh yeah! D&D is awesome. I was just trying to figure out how to make my Barbarian indestructible with artifacts." I had to leave, but the same guy happened to be looking for more players. I had no idea it was him when I showed up. I'm still playing with the group.
Seriously, if the group you know of minds you randomly coming up to them, that's going to be abnormal. Most groups I feel are very open to new players. And if you still don't feel comfortable, start your own with friends who are just as clueless as you are. They won't mind if you make mistakes, and you won't mind if they make mistakes, because you're all learning! (And then you can be in control, mwahaha)
But this is totally also my two cents and you don't have to listen to a word I say, lol. But I hoped this helped! ^^ (I still am not entirely sure how I ended up in group 2, despite having a clear memory.)

Have you learned any Japanese? For some reason l get the impression that it'd be super hard to learn....Japan is such a pretty place :P Do you live in a big city? What do people do for fun there?
l ski in the winter, so it's not really a weather thing, and also it's nice to take a break from the pool for a while.
l should really ask about joining the D&D group....l think most of them are probably younger then me, and also not people l really talk to much. eh. l guess l can try? We'll see.

Oh my goodness seeing all these old participants in Decepmyth brings back memories. Ah I wish I'd been able to see that through. Never been one to finish projects.
