Wow! I can't believe this day has finally come! When I first came here, it seemed like it was forever away, and suddenly it's Valentine's Day of 2019. Crazy how the time flies, huh?
For those of you who don't know me, I'm Clouded Leopard. I joined CB about three years ago, but I haven't been very active recently. What can I say, high school is busy. I like drawing and writing... it's mostly all I do. It's a lot of fun to be here again. :)
Besides saying hi to everyone, something I want to do with this post is ask you all what the biggest or most fun things you remember doing on here are! Like roleplays you've been in, or stories you've written, or events you partcipated in. And then tell me a little about them!
The one that comes to mind first for me is the 115-page solo write I did on Inkwell. Man that took forever, but I'm so pleased that I finally finished it. I'm really flattered at all the attention my story got, and how many people were willing to partcipate in it. It's called the "CB Spirit Solo Write", if anyone is curious.
I also got started on another Solo Write that I only finished about five chapters of, but I did really like how it was going. The setup was that an unknown monster was rampaging around Chatterbox, and a group set out to go stop it. The big twist was that the monster was the 'Rancor', a term I think coined by Scylla for what makes new threads disappear, and the person controlling it would be the 'Impersonator'. You know. :P
But please! Tell me about your stories and events! I haven't been here in so long, I'm sure tons of new and cool stuff got made while I was away!

Honestly, when I think of biggest things I think of the Diversity Wars, but I do tend to go straight to the less-fun things. Let's see--there was the first roleplay I ever made, (I think) the Æ/CAPTCHA Boarding School RP. That actually finished, in a bit of a rush since it was dying. It was kinda great though.
I'm so happy to see you! Now I'm going to go bottom a ton of other threads by posting on them. XP

Leafpool! Hi! Happy Valentine's Day to you too. :D It's so good to see everyone again.
Haha yeah, I tend to think of those wars too at first, but now that I've been on a lot of other places around the Internet I can say that they were so much better than some. Only on CB do you find people respectfully and logically arguing their cases, and actually agreeing to disagree and being friends again. That's one of the reasons I love this community so much. Plus I think I remember that RP! Good on you for finishing it, that's such a satisfying feeling.

CL!!!! It has been so long since I've seen you. How are things? Can I see some of your new art? I remember your old solo write with the Rancor. Part of me is still dying to know how it ends.
I have to say my four biggest memories here are:
1. When I met Joethestickfiddler on here when I first joined. He was probably around 16 at the time, and so funny and creative. He was like a big brother to all of us.
2. When I created my PandaQuests inspired by... you guessed it, Joe's game (I think it was his). If I remember correctly, a PandaQuest were a set of would you funny rather's or riddles.
3. When I finally revealed that my alt name Panda Girl was indeed me. It was the only time I actually pulled that prank off successfully xD
4. Finally, when I took part in the longest Inkwell thread ever - Gared's Middle School RP. It lasted for ages, and really sparked my good friendship with Gared. Not to mention the story was epic, and I ended up experiencing my first real RP. I also ended up getting to know a ton of great CBers!
I have a ton more of memories over the almost 8? years I've been here. Well, I guess I'm never here consistently. Regardless, the CB will always be my home! As a little Sid memory, I ended up learning to read and write due to the CB. When I first joined, my mom did all that for me. I'm not sure how it happened, but I slowly started learning. So I have to thank you guys for that too!

Ashlee!! I've great to see you posting again. For the most part I've been fine, if busy. That's one of the reasons I haven't been here; I just haven't been able to find the time between school and sports. But I have been drawing a ton, and you absolutely can see some art. I'll post it down below. :) I had that whole solo write's plot written out, so I am a little sad I never finished it.
Just for you, it ended with a big fight between the CBers and the Rancor/Impersonator when they were revealed. The Rancor was killed with "topping power" (like when you top a post - silly, I know), and everyone got freed.
Anyway, it's so good to see you again! This day has been pretty awesome so far. :)
(The art, if you're curious, is of one of my oldest characters, David Michael. A very good android boy.)

Hello hello again, CL! I know you know me, haha, so I'll just answer your question. One of the biggest things I've done here... hmm. Something that will always stick with me is the first time I went to a compliment thread and my name was on the original list. I have problems, sometimes, with remembering that I'm important, and seeing my name up there was like a punch in the gut in the best possible way.

Hmm, the "biggest" things I've done on here... perhaps the Ultimate Guide Thread, "Funny Things My Friends Have Said", the Soapbox business, the avatar creator picturings thing (even though how I handled that is very embarrassing in retrospect), and helping start the whole AE shipping mess. That was so fun in the beginning. I've kind of fallen out of touch with the AE side of it all, but man, that was fun.
Honestly, I'm kind of in shock about all this. I just... This is happening. I don't have the words for how floored I am, haha.

Hey!!! Good to see you again! I remember seeing that SW on the Inkwell and watching the posts number go up and up and up. I never read it, but I'm sure it was amazing! ;D

Yeah, I've been busy with school these days too. I try to write when I can, but I've been neglecting some of my older projects lately.
Some of my favorite things I've done on the CB, you ask? Let's see...
1. Will's CB Olympics! Anyone remember those? We never finished them, but the competitions were really fun! We did two contests, the mega charrie sheet contest and the short story contest. And then there was the mega charrie sheet RP I made, so we could use our charrie sheets from the competition. That was actually the last RP I ever joined/made. (On Inkwell, at least.)
2. Writing my ski lodges. I wouldn't be the writer I am today without everyone's support, encouragement, and interaction. It's been so much fun weaving those mysteries, spending hours planning, and writing up the installments. I know I'm terrible about updating Lake Lelillo, but I hope to finish it someday.
3. All the live chats. Recently we did a live chat for the CB's 10th anniversary--two, actually--and that was super fun. We had a party, half RP and half chatting.
4. How could I not include Coco's Warriors RP?! That was the thread that sucked me into the CB! Let's see...Moonshadow, Moonfrost, Coco, Cho, Scylla, Danie...who else was on that RP??
5. The World Domination threads. Ashlee started one up and that was the only one I was around for. I didn't participate, but it was still really cool to read through the thread. Did that ever finish?
6. The Guess that MLP threads were really fun. That was before I really watched the new MLP, but thanks to those threads, I knew all the ponies' names.
Those are just a few; I'll probably think of more later. Again, it's really good to see you CL!

Ah yes! So good to see you to! It's wild seeing all these people come back onto CB at once. It's almost a little overwhelming, haha. I've been doing fine lately, just busy with schoolwork mostly. It really does get crazy in high school. I'm still doing a ton of drawing though! I've managed to squeeze in the time.
And yes! All of those, especially that Warriors RP. It was the first RP I ever joined on here that actually got some traction! And it was so long, too. Really amazing that it got so far.

Ah man, I remember the spirit solo write! It was great, you have good reason to be proud of it.
Let's see, what are the most fun things I've done? My favorite solo write (that I wrote) was absolutely the magical creatures one. It eventually died and the plot was falling apart, but I was super invested in the characters and worldbuilding and I could still tell you all about it! I can't wait for a chance to break out Ashildr again, haha.
While I was thinking of solo writes, I remembered that I did that one a while back now that was space/sci-fi themed, and I finished it! That was definitely an accomplishment. I'll have to find it and read it again (it's probably awful haha).
Oh, and I also remember a Magic RP. Each character had certain elemental powers - mine was a princess with fire powers - and there was a lot of drama and I think kidnapping involved, and it never finished, but it was a really long RP and very fun! I'm so glad I got the chance to be a part of it.
Your art looks amazing! I go through all the pages on the Art Posting Thread every once in a while and I've seen a bunch of your old art - there's a lot of improvement, go you!
I'm so glad you remembered to come back for Valentine's Day!

I was so hoping to see you! You were one of my closest friends on here. :D
Does the anime picturing thread count? It was so much fun, and my computer still has a huge file of all the picturings I did.
I also liked the drawing challenges and contests, they were the reason I was a good artist (Now, of course, I suck at drawing . . . oh well). I have a huge folder on my *phone* of all the drawings I did for the CB, and I’m still pretty proud of them.
Maybe I’m biased because I started it, but my PJO RP was really fun, and it lasted pretty long.
