i missed you so much! It’s nice to pop in for days like this.
how is everything? What’s new? How are all of you?
The last few years have been really rough for me, but it’s all stuff I can’t say on the CV. There is good stuff, though! I’ve begun my time as a D&D 5e Dungeon Master, which is my favorite thing ever, I’ve started a novel or two, I play 10+ instruments... my art skills have much improved since I’ve been here (I’ll post pictures later)
im in study hall trying to finish work so I’ll pop on this thread in a bit and talk to y’all and continue to fill y’all in but! For now! Hey!!!

MAPLE!! I've missed you a ton! I'm really sorry about all the bad things, but at least there's been good too. Funny how it seems everyone I know plays D&D now. I would love to learn, but it seems so... daunting. It is a massive game
10 instruments?? That's amazing. Do you write your own music or anything? Or a YouTube channel? I'm still struggling to learn uke and guitar. I've got a good chunk of the chords down, but strumming patterns.

About D&D, it honestly just depends on your group’s play style. Some groups are rules heavy and mechanics reliant, but I run a fun-trumps-rules type of campaign, and it’s more fun that way in my mind. Do you still have to learn rules? Yeah, but there’s not much of them to get the basics. It’s pretty massive, but you dont need to memorize the handbooks cover to cover to enjoy it or be good at it. I say go for it if you have an I trest in it! There are tons of online resources to get started and find games, like DNDBeyond, so you don’t need to invest anything if you done want to, or find you don’t enjoy it.
and yeah! I play electric bass, violin, viola, piano, trumpet, baritone, two type of uke, guitar along with another instrument that I can’t remember for the life of me rn. I kinda write music; I’ve begun to write a lot of music for my D&D campaign, which can be found on my soundcloud, but I can’t post my profile link or anything I don’t think (admins, could I post my username? Is that okay?). I write some punk-ish stuff when I have the energy (think frank iero, if you’re familiar with him). I don’t have a YouTube account, but it’s on my bucket list ;)
Just keep going for it! The best practice is repetition in my opinion
