Description of how you think you would look on the CB: How Leo did the picturing of me, I guess. Long Blonde hair, I think blue eyes, light skin, slight freckles, medium height, bangles on each wrist, blue ballet shoes (not actual ballet shoes) that match the blue tank top I have under my short sleeve hot pink crop top, a short, light pink flary skirt, and a deliacte necklace. I also may or may not have magic powers.

How 2018 went (How was life? Did anything exciting or momentous happen?): It was okay. Eighth grade hasn't been the best year for me - seventh was probably the best. Anything interesting? Well, I'll be seeing a NYC Ballet soon... And I might try out for a company that produces plays...

l thought l needed to be edgy and dark, lol.  

What things do/did you feel are/were a big part of your time on the CB?:

l wrote two ski lodges, which where the most fun l'd ever had, and did a lot of roleplaying games. 

Honestly just all of this place and the people helped me thorough some pretty sucky times. l didn't take growing up the well and had basically no social skills or friends. CB helped me find a little bit of love here <3

How life in general has been (Since you left, or from when you joined. Whatever works!):

It's been good. Over last summer and this school year l've finally gotten to a place where l'm no longer super shy with people and can hold actual conversations. Which is....exciting. l love being around people. l'm probably kind of an extrovert inside.

Tallish, paleish and pretty blond. l used to have super long hair, and then got it cut super short, which is pretty sweet, actually.

10) Life in gerenal has been pretty okay. Like I said, I've been figuring myself out recently, so that's been happening. I grew my hair out, so it's long now, and I've been performing in choir, auditioned choir, and our school's drama program.

Description of how you think you would look on the CB: I have golden feathery wings, medium-length blond hair, blue eyes, and wear lots of big fuzzy sweaters with leggings. Comfy. 

AE descriptions (Physical, personality, whatever! Go for it!): I have 1 AE named Etoile and one CATCHPAE named Miza though she's more AE than CATCHPA. Etoile is my observant, thoughtful, and gentle side. She has long black hair and emerald eyes. Miza is my....sarsactic, attention seeking, grumpy side. She's a cat too

Description of how you think you would look on the CB: SEVEN FEET TALL WITH HAIR DOWN TO MY KNEES XD 

I always say tall and thin, with long hair and nails. And I stand by that. But I’m probably only six feet. :3

Okay, so SG is the one who spoke in italics, Nymph in bold italics. I’ve never been able to pin down a solid description of their personalities, but Nymph is, well... bold italics really fit her. She’s a shapeshifter, but she doesn’t think about what she looks like. She’s antisocial but can get very aggressive very quickly, and she will hate you unconditionally for as long as she remembers to if you get on her bad side. She is the queen and caretaker of several forests, where she spends a lot of time, and loves being treated like a goddess. She isn’t very good with people but she is very flashy, and sometimes she can get by on that alone. She’s snarky and sour and confident, fierce both in her independence and protectiveness. She will keep the world at bay for someone who’s crying. I built her out of a shard of my past self. 

Sea Glass is practically Nymph’s opposite. Wavery and delicate where Nymph is vivid and strong, xe has a tendency to overthink things. Xe’s terribly lonely but so awkward xe often chooses to stay alone. Oh yeah, Sea Glass is also aporagender (literally meaning “separate gender”) and uses xe/xyr pronouns. Anyway. Wispy and delicate where Nymph is vivid and strong, xe speaks in an archaic and overly polite manner, and is prone to stammering when flustered, which is often. Xe has long sandy hair and ocean-colored eyes with a bit of a tan from spending so much time at the beach, and prefers to wear summer clothes in pastel colors with piles and piles of bracelets. Staggeringly oblivious and aware of it, SG is most confident in a crisis, where xe may offer poetic comfort, minor powers of healing and prophecy, or simply a shoulder to cry on, or when xe knows exactly what to expect and how to react. Xyr worst fear is being disliked. I started out calling xyr a girl, but it never fit.

What does your house on the CB look like?: I’m not sure. It’s got to be two or three stories tall, with a roofed porch, a section of roof one can walk on, a dragon head or something on a roof ridge like a stave church (lots of roof stuff, I know), a bay window with a seat, a roomy attic, and a tower. Also a decent-sized yard/garden with about a million kinds of flowers. 

Previous names on the CB (even temporary ones): Unless you count SIs and the time I was Summer for that one ski lodge I wrote with Alizarine, I haven’t had any.

Why did you pick your name?: I kinda carried it over from Kyngdom, where I picked it because, well, Viola was one of a few names I was considering using, so I posted under that with the question mark as a kind of “I guess” or “it might change”, and it just kinda stuck. 

What things do you feel are/were a big part of your time on the CB?: Hmm. Ski lodges. I join all the ski lodges I arrive in time for, and the constant filling out of character sheets is fun; getting me to think about who I am and how I see myself, and my AEs, too. Also the Let’s Play House thread. Claaws, I love that thing. Let’s see... AE chat threads (where Sea Glass met Celeste), CBversary threads, and leaving threads, actually? It seemed like there were a lot of those when I first joined. I was always really sad because I hadn’t really gotten to know the people yet. If that makes sense. The Art Posting thread used to be big for me, but I’ve kinda let slip on that... I remember always seeing ball threads around. Always.

How 2018 went: It was okay. Not my favorite year, but not the worst, contrary to what people seem to believe. I went to Scotland! And wrote my first ski lodge, the one I mentioned before. And did picturings, that was sure something. The summer was a very busy time. I also realized that I really need to pay attention to math lessons if I’m going to learn anything, and rejoined Discord. Started fading away from Kyngdom. Took an interest in Wicca and other real-life magic. Spent a while baking every day. Joined too many classes at school and wound up dropping a couple. I think I realized why people throw parties, or was that in January? I don’t remember.

How life in general has been: Pretty decent. School is manageable, annd I still manage to find time for other stuff. I feel irresponsible sometimes, but I’m working on it. 

Basic description of your appearance: Tall and thin, with long hair and nails. :3

Favorite fandoms: The Stand Still, Stay Silent fandom! Very nearly everyone is really cool, intelligent and polite and stuff.

Favorite book/author/genre of literature: I don’t know. I like fiction, but I’ve been getting more into nonfiction lately.

Dream job: Getting paid to complete drawing and writing prompts, being flamboyant and ridiculous along the way. 

If you could have any power, what would it be?: Just one? That’s tricky. I’d love to be able to alter my personal gravity, float up to the ceiling and whatnot, but I also want to stay young for millenia, be a shapeshifter, not have to sleep, have the kind of perceptions that would have to come with super-speed, and be able to fully and peacefully resolve any conflict. 

If you could make one change to the world, what would it be?: I would probably reverse any and all effects of global warming/pollution, or maybe ease tensions between all humans. 

What makes you smile?: Lots of things! Too many to name. Interesting people, nice weather, bad weather, nature, stuff online, books and art and songs...

What feels like a waste of time?: Hm. Sports? Procrastinating?

Description of how you think you would look on the CB: I guess just how I look now, red hair, freckles, baseball hat, green shirt with elephant on it, blue jeans and big clunky boots. Except I would have a silver aura around me because...it's the CB.

AE descriptions: Lock is kind of like my introverted, philosophical side with my love for learning and my maturity (or what I have of marurity xD). Key is my only female AE and my first. She will forever hold a special place in my heart. I feel like the two of us would get along really well, except we woul be always clashing heads. She's crazy, spunky, wild, excitable and spontaneous. She lives for the spotlight and is my extroverted, silly, peopleish side. She likes exploring fashion and is my normal/cool/hippie ish side of me. Storm can be crazy, but in general is just sweet. He's my die hard country side. He loves sports and animals and I feel like he's between the other two. They all have aspects of me, but are also their own characters - which I love!

What does your house on the CB look like? (For clarification: there have been some threads in the past where you roleplay as if you are living in the world of the CB, and this was a part of one of them. I thought it would be fun to bring back. ^^): I have none. Maybe I'll make one sometime.

Why did you pick your name?: A long time ago there used to be all these ceder waxwings (a beautiful kind of bird - look them up!) that lived in my yard and woods. They were only there for one season, but I remember seeing a ton of them that Summer. I'm not sure if it was that summer, or the one after that, but my great uncle died then. At his memorial a friend of his spoke about how he always loved ceder waxwings. While he doesn't have much to do with the story of my name, he is a hugely important person in my life and whenever I think of a ceder waxwing, I think of him. Anyway, one of the (if not the very first - I can't remember for sure) times I came on the CB, I distinctly remember sitting on the couch, staring out the window. All of a sudden this ceder waxwing comes and lands on the outside sash. That's when I came up with Silverwaxwing. Dunno, but it's fun!

What things do/did you feel are/were a big part of your time on the CB?: Oh my. Some of my favorite times were getting to know and hanging out with you wonderful people, the Star Wars RP Will T. and I ran, the photography contest that Pheasantwithbooks started, taking GW's surveys and the Evolution vs. Creation discussion I started on DtE. There are so many other wonderful memories and times, but these are a few.

How 2018 went (How was life? Did anything exciting or momentous happen?): A lot happened in 2018. I grew up, I changed and I stepped out of my comfort zone and did some really great things. There were hard times (when aren't there), but some really great times too. I became closer to some of my friends and have some really great memories with them, I traveled around with my dad's band, I tried pottery for the first time and fell in love, I started dancing, I raised chicks from eggs, I wrote several novels, expanded my art skills, got published for the first time and grew so much (figuratively and literally!) I also have had some pretty bad days too, which I should also talk about I guess. Last February my grandma moved to assisted living, which was really, really hard. I've gone through a lot of self doubt and just general meh times, trying to learn what it means to be me and coming to grips with that. My sister moved over ten hours away, and I miss her like crazy. Lots of other stuff happened too, but I've already talked too much! Anyway, on a whole 2018 was pretty good, although it had some hard parts.

How life in general has been (Since you left, or from when you joined. Whatever works!): As I said above, it has its ups and downs. I'm just happy that I have the freedom and ability to chose a path in this world (by the grace of God, the universe or the founding fathers of USA, dunno which) and that I am here now. Wow that was cheesy.

Basic description of your appearance (Not too detailed, please, we don’t want to endanger your privacy!): Red hair, freckles, tall (5'8") and smiling (at least a lot of the time)!

Favorite Fandom: I'm honestly not sure, can you define fandom? 

Favorite Animals: All living creatures - great and small, give me the magic of a glance and I shall give you my love.

Favorite Games: Ice hockey.

Favorite Movies: The Count of Monte Cristo, The Princess Bride and a few more that I am not comfortable sharing on here due to some of the content in them. 

Favorite Books: Oh buddy. How about just some that I've read recently? Six of Crows, Divided we Fall, Jellicoe Road, Ready to Fall, Forged in Fire, Invisible Fault Lines and a few others. These books are all YA, so please only read them if you and your gaurdians are comfortable with that. As far as kid books go or juvenile fiction, I would suggest the Elizabeth Enright's books, Astrid Lindgrens books and Jean Craighead George's to name a few of my favorite authors.

Favorite Colors: I love all colors. It fascinates me that I can mix them and create something completely unique and that I can place them here and there to make shadow and light and feeling and convey emotion.

Favorite Accessories: Boots, bags, baseball hats, hair ties and my good old "Anything Peaceful" bracelet. 

Favorite Chore: If one looks at chores as a form of meditation and self improvement, one will no longer see the work as a chore, but a joy. Buuuut sometimes I still have trouble seeing cleaning the bathroom or doing dishes as "a joy." I would say caring for my animals and my job, although they aren't exactly "chores" to me.

Favorite Sport: Ice hockey. Horses. Football. Baseball. In that order.

Favorite In-Joke at the moment: It depends on what you mean. I have silly jokes with my friends, but I don't really pay attention to pop culture jokes. Dunno.

NaNoWriMo brags (How many times have you won? How many times have you participated?): I enjoy bragging about this. I have participated in three NaNoWriMos and two or three Camp NaNoWriMos. I have won all my NaNoWriMo goals and at least one of my Camp NaNoWriMos - I don't remember if I even did it one year or not, and I know I lost another. This past year (2018) I did July's Camp NaNoWriMo and surpassed my goal of 50k and hit 55, which was pretty sweet. Then this past November I also hit my 50k goal (although barely) and have continued to write everyday since.

How old are you? Or if you’d rather, what grade of school?: I am 16 and a sophomore in homeschool high school. 

What Hogwarts house are you in?: I have no clue. Either Gryffandor or Slytherin? Maybe? What do you think I am in?

What's your patronus?: I think when I took the actual test on pottermore (is that the name of the sight? Sorry, it's been a while) I got a field mouse. I can't decide if I like it or hate it.

Heh, and I'm so bad at talking about things I'm proud of. xD Probably my NaNoWriMo brags, getting published on my homeschool magazine, traveling with my dad's band, my various jobs working with horses (and an assortment of other animals) and some creative things that I do in my free time. As far as Cricket goes, winning photography contests here on the CB still holds pride in my heart.

What part of the world do you live in? Where would you like to go?: I currently live on the East Coast of America. I would like to go to Alaska, Sweden, Canada, Europe (in general I mean) a bunch of other states (if not all of them) and Australia. I would also love to see the middle east and go to South America. Basically I just want to go everywhere!

I would also hate to be stranded on a desert island (in the middle of NOWHERE!) or on a boat in the ocean. I just don't particularly like the idea of being stranded.

Favorite book/author/genre of literature?: Nooooo, why did I ask THIS question?! I love so many! Cho already asked favorite book (I TRIED to answer) I added some authors to that too, so genre? I love YA, kids classics, modern classics, free verse poetry and anything that makes me think. I'm currently reading Rumi. 

Favorite band/song/genre of music?: I'm really out to get myself in these questions. I HAVE TOO MANY! I love exploring new music! Right now I'm listening to Celtic music and that's the best answer I can give.

Dream job?: Again, I have a lot. Ideally I plan to live on a farm and homeschool my kids. Right now I just want to start working MORE. I would love to get into photography, horses, animals and farming.

If you could make one change to the world, what would it be?: ...That's hard. Self. I don't really know why I asked this, because I'm not sure if I believe in that kind of thing. I'm don't know what religion (if any particular one) I believe in, but I think I believe in something. What if you can't change things for a reason? What if things happen for a reason? But then again, am I preaching that some historical event where people died - take the bombing of pearl harbor, or 9/11 or USA's Civil war, basically anything. Am I preaching that these people - these KIDS who were my sister's age - who were sent into war were meant to die? I don't know. I think I was watching too much Timeless at the time.  

What makes you smile?: The fact that past me decided to add this to the list and Cho did it. Also wind, horses, animals, ice skating and late evening sunlight. Oh, and the Epic Celtic Battle Music that just started play. Love that.

Also a lot of laws regarding education, the "need" to go to college and waste money that likely won't be used (of course there are reasons to go to college too! A grasshopper made of grass that I've had for 6 years, it's still perfectly fine too. When I was in Costa Rica cause I almost moved there, we passed a nice old man on the streets. He waved me over and gave me this grasshopper, and one to my brother too. I can't even explain how much that one act of kindness impacted my life and inspired me to do things I never could have thought possible. He gave me hope when I had none. And I still have this grasshopper today, eventhough my brother's wilted and browned mine is still green, if not a little yellow around the edges.

Welp. My permanent record holds nothing good, to say the least. But I gotta lot of volunteer hours in! Also I'm taking a bunch of AP and college course classes so yes, maybe I will end up going to college after all.

What part of the world do you live in? Where would you like to go? 

I live in the Rocky Mountains. And I love the mountains, but I would love to go up to northern asia, maybe Siberia. Or japan. *smiles innocently* I love japan. Or Switerland! These people are so peaceful, they managed to stay nutruel in the middle of Europe during both WWs.

Hobbies? 

I'm a competitive dancer, I dance all the time, also a cheerleader/Pomi, and I skii. I used to do a bunch of sports, and I think I'll get back into that soon. 

What would you bring to a desert island out in the middle of nowhere?

A Yatt.  

Where would you least like to be stranded? 

Now don't get any ideas...but somewhere loud with no escape, like a city. I mean....a nice warm bed...

Fantasy? Realistic Fiction? I really like 'Words on Bathroom Walls', but again, I dont read much. And I'm crazy. *smiles*

To fly. Or shapeshift. Or maybe something dangerously destructive but free, like the power to wield fire (I'm crazy, what are you expecting me to say). 

If you could make one change to the world, what would it be? 

Hate. If I could change one thing, I would give every person the mindset and education to understand the other people around them, no matter their background. Without hate, people wouldn't be so selfish. It would be like Switzerland!

What makes you smile? 

Seeing someone else do/doing something unexpected for another person that makes them happy, especially if they're not usually happy cause life sucks.

How long of you been away from the CB?

I've been off and on for awhile now. I think I made a few leaving threads then popped back in to say hi and never rlly officially left again. I've been sorta absent like, this past month. For reasons.

The first time? Maybe a year. Year and a half.

My cheer/pom uniform, actually! I just got back from the last game of the season (with our rivals...) and practice and stuff which is why I missed all this.

Yep! Some of you know I have a Siberian blue-eyed husky named Bella. She's 8 now!

1) Intro: I'm Owlgirl (pronouns she/her but you could tell that already lol), not an active CBer anymore but currently dropping in every once in a while. I joined February 7, 2015 http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/blababoutbooks/node/156539 

2) CB Appearance: Haven't thought about this in a while...last time I did it was like this: basically my real life appearance plus owl wings. Long straight brown hair, brown eyes, fair skin, white and brown and gold owl wings, wearing a relatively put-together looking outfit with jeans.

3) AEs:

1) Grace: Favorite color is purple. Has purple hair, purple eyes, wears candy-related things, and is pretty loud and wild. Loves candy and is OBSESSED with gummy bears, when she's not acting crazy she's very sarcastic and somewhat rude, when she's crazy she's 9 on a scale of 1-10 she throws candy, brings out weapons I din't even know she had, yells, and flies on various mechanical objects. Is annoyed by my Hamilton obsession. Loves to explode stuff. Enjoys pranks, but she's never really done a lot of it because she hates planning and prefers spontaneity.

Ugh, you CBers always have to go on and ON and ONNNNNN. All you need to know about me is: GIVE. ME. GUMMY BEARS!!!

2) Mellie: She has human ears and orangeish cat ears and pigtails. Favorite color is orange, she has many orange tops. Bubbly, happy, optimist, hyper at times. Squeals and jumps up and down when excited. Very clumsy, so often knocks stuff over and trips into things. When she laughs, she meows in between laughter. She's not easily angered...only if you insult cats, or if you damage her camera even slightly, she will get angry. She loves photography and enjoys listening to music.

Fun fact:  I used to have another AE before Mellie for a short time named Umbridga, who was bossy and cold and basically Umbridge, but I said bye to her. *looks around nervously for lurking discarded AEs*

5) CB House: Wow I've actually never thought of one...I guess a really big luxurious treehouse with lots of open light, nice modern design, lots of rooms, some magical properties, good spaces to sing and relax. And a kitchen that cooks for me, maybe some other robotic chore functions as well, like a dish washing robot. And it comes with a flying bike.

6) Previous names: Elena O was what I joined the CB as. My real name. Then I changed it pretty early on to Owlgirl.

7) Why did you pick your name: I was in 5th or 6th grade and really really liked owls. I still think they're cool creatures, they embody a sort of intelligent, almost mysterious beauty. And i've always liked ideas having to do with birds and flying and freedom and dreams so even though maybe "Owlgirl" sounds childish, I'm used to it and it suits me.

8) Things I did on CB: Wow, a lot....I used to only spend time in Inkwell. I did a lot of RPing, poetry writing and poetry discussion, any kind of writing basically. I joined solo writes and ski lodges and wrote a ski lodge of my own, got close to finishing it and stopped...my goal one day is to finish it. I arrived right after the Nostalgia War and I was there for the Diversity War. I discussed a lot in Puddings Place about musical theater, art, music, etc. 

9) How 2018 went: A big year I guess, since I ended 8th grade with a bang (in a good way lol) and started as a freshman at a performing arts high school after having gone to the same school for 9 years. I think I've definitely grown as a person, musician, student and friend. 2018 was busy! I also sometimes felt like screaming in frustration at some things going on in the world *coughcoughcoughcough*

10) Life in general in terms of CB: I kind of faded away from the CB towards the end of 2017 as I got really busy with school and didn't really return to say hi until December this year. I appreciate so much what the CB's done for me...in my time since I joined as an 11 year old I got a lot better at writing and just learned a lot in general and had such good, fun times.

What dose your house on the Cb look like?: oof, this is hard. So many things to chose from, XD.  A house made out of clouds witha waterslide leading into the ocean, with veido games and art stuff all inside the house, and a bed made out of clouds.

How 2018 went?: It went okay, i guess. I lost a friend who I knew for 6 years, learned some life lessons from that, and gained five more. So It went really great actually.  I mean beside losing a friend, that part sucked.

How is life in general? Life's good. I have a amazing friend group, but I have a crush on one of my friends...

Great! Although it was a little bumpy at times, I got through it. 

Favorite Fandoms: Sherlock Holmes. The one with Jeremy Brett is wayyyy better than Cumberbatch's. It doesnt even compair. I also like LotR, Marvel <3, and a lot of old Disney movies!

Wolf! For sure, they have always been my favorite animal

Ooo. Monopoly! When I was little we had a Littlest Pet Shop version and that was my favorite. But my whole family hates Monopoly so I didnt play it much lol I also love Sequence, but the one for kids. I mean come on! Who could beat little fluffy animal illustrations?!

Do I have to choose? I love, love, LOVE, The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh with Patrick McGoohan. Its really old, and it comes in one of those Disney Classic tin cases. I love alot of other old movies, that none of you would probably know. Such as The Man Who SHot Liberty Valance (with JIMMY STEWART AND JOHN WAYNE!!) or TV shows like I dream of Genie, Danger man (also with Patrick McGoohan. Its super cheesy but super great), Get Smart etc. Ask your parents ;)

The Old Country by Mordicai Gerstein. He also wrote the Man Who Walked Between Two Towers. He is an amazing artist. Also LotR ;) And AGATHA CHRISTIE!! I love her books. LOvE ThEm.

Learn about people that came before you, even if fifty years seems like a long time.
