Random Thoughts/Things?
I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

There's this sort of... outlook, I suppose, that I remember from being younger. It's not purely optimism, but the feeling that the earth is a small place. It's full of people, and most of them are weird, and everyone is stuck here in a good kind of way.
It follows me around, and I'm not sure why. I'll go through feeling Woke and Old and Pesimistic and it'll pop out of nowhere to remind me it's still there, like:
"Hello! I'm you from the past or something, don't forget about me!"
Outer space is dark, but it doesn't feel dark. It feels as if day is the default, but the night keeps going. The lines of the earth- latitude, longitude- are the default cyan color in MS paint. The sky and planets blend together- and you can probably see Pluto if you look... Seasons are clear-cut. They aren't merging, they aren't burning, they aren't getting more extreme, they just are. Everything is.
"Hello!"
Knowledge is an easy concept. Knowledge is facts! And things! Knowledge is the non-fiction section of the library, or a professor's .net website with a gaudy background, or a trivia fact about dolphins someone told you two weeks ago. And, naturally, things are things! They don't change. They aren't opinionated. They're neutral and natural and not untrue.
"I'm you from the past...!"
Traffic cones, dirty laundry, freezing mittens, people walking on the road. Someone's invited you to a birthday party, and the birthday boy gives you a small toy car as a party favor. It's propelled by a spring. There's another time, you and a friend... You're both watching the creepiest episode of the care bears cartoon on their tv, when her mom comes in to tell you 'this one might be too scary for you two'. You roll your eyes at each other, grin, and go downstairs.
You teach somebody how to wash their hands, and a watermelon grows in your backyard.
"...Or something!"
You don't know too many things, but you somehow appreciate it. You're hiding in the basement from a tornado. A tree falls, the power goes out... There could be blizzards in a month or two... you overhear a hateful joke, but you don't understand it until many years later. Are people sad? Maybe, but they can't be that sad- after all, you're sad sometimes, too!
"Don't forget about me...!"

i don't really talk about personal stuff on the cb that much and it's weird bc there's a lot of things that i have to think about/deal with so constantly but no one would know that about me by who i am on here. idk it's a weird thought. :/

I'm pretty sure I know who you are, and I wanted to say, if you ever feel like talking about personal stuff on here, whether it's under your actual name or a pseudonym, feel free to do so! Lots of people do it and it's a wonderful way to get things out of your head. We won't think less of you for it. ;)

The lyrics "or are you someone out there who's a little bit like me/who knows deep down I'm not where I'm meant to be" in Into the Unknown from Frozen 2 are kind of meaningful to me. I saw Frozen 2 when I was trying to decide if I wanted to stay at my school or go back to homeschooling, and it was kind of a little push to say, Leafy, your school isn't working for you, so you need to step out of your comfort zone again and quit it. And also, I've been in a really bad spot for writing and art and all kinds of things for a really long time and it also said to me like, this doesn't work, you need to figure out a way to get out of this. You're not where you're meant to be.

Something moved on my head and I freaked out. My mind went spider, bug, lice, small animal, person, dust, kleenex?
Turns out it was just my glasses slipping down.

Eeeek. I'm going to be volunteering for a robotics competition all day tomorrow... so many people... 12 hours on my feet... working... oof. I'm going to die.
I think that sound like fun, and I bet the time will go quickly for you. Tell us how it goes when you get a chance.

Oh, it was really really fun, Admin! It went well, and having hosted it will help our team a lot for the competition we'll be going to soon. However, as an introvert, such things drain my capacity for human interaction, and my feet hurt a lot afterwards. All-in-all, though, I hope we get to do it again next year!

I have always been a fortress/Cold secrets deep inside/You have secrets too/But you don't have to hide/...Show yourself/Step into the power/Grow yourself/Into something new/You are the one you've been waiting for/All of my life/All of your life/Oh, show yourself
Show Yourself is such a beautiful and touching song, omigosh. And Idina Menzel has such a powerful voice ahhh
