Guys I know I keep saying this but I NEED TO BE A SCREENWRITER

Seriously, there are all these movies I really want to make! Love and Gelato, for one thing. (There's a Netflix movie of it, but it's really different from the book). The characters are great, and Ren would be a very original and very sweet and very nice character, and you could intersperse the main plot with flashbacks to Hadley's story, and there's potential for amazing scenery and music. Like in the part where Lina's dancing in the nightclub, I could include all my favorite Italian pop songs... And I can just see the characters so clearly, I really want to give them life through film. Then there's The Summer of Lost Letters and Eight Nights of Flirting and Summer Nights and Meteorites - they're not my favorite books because they have some vaguely inappropriate scenes and language and everyone's always rushing around drinking, but if you make a movie out of them you can change that. And the thing is, they'd be perfect for a TV series. They're all about the rich and complicated Barbanel family, and each book could be a season, focusing on one particular love story, with the grandparents and the gorgeous Golden Doors house and the general family dynamics being the common theme. And you could pack the series full of rose gardens and oceans and romantic moments and banter and fun family moments and luxurious houses and... and... it would be so amazing, why doesn't somebody go and do it? Or why doesn't an obliging director pop up on the doorstep and say "my dear Poinsettia, sign here and you can screenwrite everything you want!" 

Oh well. If you read this far, you will now be able to actually find out something that may be interesting :P The thing is, as no obliging director has popped up on the doorstep, I've taken to playing videos and music at the same time to create my own music videos. You can do that by watching a muted video in one tab while playing a song in another tab. And I've come across some great combinations that seem made for each other:

>"An Undoing World" by the Klezmatics with the trailer for A Bottle in the Gaza Sea. The first time I watched the trailer accompanied by "An Undoing World", I was blown away. It's as if they were made for each other. The movie is about the struggles that refugees face, and the song is about just the same thing, but also the imagery and references combine perfectly. For instance, right when the song refers to the metaphorical mother of refugees, the trailer shows the main character's mother. Or when the song refers to drifting, the trailer shows ocean waves. And the song is beautiful - together with the trailer, it captures the poignant essence of the movie almost better than the movie itself does.

>"Home" from Frozen II with the trailer for A Furry Little Christmas. If you start playing "Home," then quickly switch over to the tab with the trailer and play it, you'll see that they combine gorgeously. They're both about home and family and love, and it's as if the song had been made for the trailer. If you have synesthesia, the colors of the song really match the colors of the trailer, at least for me - and just the vibes complement each other.

>"Hajde Bukuri" by Grupi Albanet with the "2018 Fifa World Cup Montage - Magic in the Air" video. My dad showed me the World Cup video once, and I quite liked it, but then I thought "wait a second Hajde Bukuri would combine so well with this video!" and I played them together - and suffice it to say that they were perfect. It makes for an exciting, stirring video.

Also this isn't related to any of the other stuff but I'm currently listening to "Te regalo" by Carlos Baute at full volume and IT'S AMAZING AND I LOVE ITTTTT *cries* How is it so happy and just perfect and the lyrics are lovely and if everyone just took some time out and danced to it for a few minutes the world would be instantly beautiful. 

And it just ended and I think I'm going to listen to it over again :)

Today marks the begining of Tourettes & Tic Disorder awareness month! As someone newly diagnosed, I'm very excited to celebrate this year!! :D

I'm hoping to make an informational thread either today or at least soon, but until then I wanted to let you all know about the Tourettes Assosiation. Personally, they helped me a lot soon after my diagnosis. They have resources for those who have been diagnosed, friends, teachers, etc... And if you've been diagnosed in the past year you can get a gift from them! It's super cool!

Anyway, yeah! Be aware of me or else (/lh)
