Random Thoughts/Things?
I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

Does anyone here ride horses? I do, and I actually have a lesson today. There are three different horses that I ride. Two of them are mostly pretty calm, but one of them bites.

i'm so tired of having a sinus infection *sobs* i've had one since like late November and i've been on like 3 courses of antibiotics and i think they helped even if they didn't completely fix the issue but now i'm not on one anymore and i feel awful... and i have orchestra practice tomorrow. and i'm going to have to play my concerto solo. which is also very taxing to play through both emotionally and physically especially in a performance. and we're going to be doing it after like 2 hours of rehearsal at least. why. I WOULD BE EXCITED OTHERWISE -
anyway maybe i'll feel better later. i hope so. i should probably have some tea except my stomach is too messed up. i'll probably have some anyway because i really want to practice
(for reference we might know what the infection is since there was a test so hopefully that'll get treated but apparently it's hard to get the specific thing i need or something. so.)

Um, and I think it was the version posted by the Classical Ballet and Opera House?
sorry, Gian Furlough Acorn Harlowe looks so goofy in this drawing haha normally xe's actually pretty serious so this makes me laugh. The texturing's also sorta... uhh... well, yeah I stopped cuz I didn't want to make things worse (and sorry the pencil is so light, I'll try to fix things up later)
hopefully the drawing doesn't cut off... it prob will...

I looked it up and think I found the right thing online. I watched a good amount of it. I was actually impressed by how well the music was played, especially the opening. I think if you liked that, you'll really like Royal Opera House's 2020 performance. You can get Royal Opera House Stream for like one pound for 6 weeks, so if you want to try that it's pretty low-risk. (You can also get it on the Marquee TV app but I don't believe that has a very good trial period. That being said I think you could really enjoy a certain Nutcracker performance they have especially so)
For reference, it's the version with Fumi Kaneko as Aurora and Frederico Bonelli as Florimund. Fumi Kaneko is superb - but she actually wasn't supposed to be Aurora. If I'm correct it was going to be Lauren Cuthbertson, and Fumi Kaneko was going to be The Lilac Fairy but stepped in after Cuthbertson had an injury. Compared to another ROH performance of the same "version" with Marianela Nuñez, a bit of her footwork is less clean, but other than that you can't tell (with the disclaimer that I don't do ballet XD). She's absoulutely superb and completely embodies Aurora. She's definitely one of my favorite dancers. And since Fumi Kaneko was the Lilac Fairy, the Lilac Fairy was replaced with Gina Storm-Jensen, who's amazing (and she's only a Soloist!)
Also, the Fairy of Songbirds (which I think they just took out of the version you watched ToT) is also amazing. It was Anna Rose O'Sullivan, who's absolutely one of my favorite dancers, and she is just. Amazing. (She's also one of Florestan's sisters and is just as good at that.) The Bluebird and Florine, Yasmine Naghdi and Matthew Ball, are also noteworthy. I've seen several other Bluebirds, plenty from the Royal Opera House, and they're the best. The White Cat and Puss in Boots are hilarious. I could keep going but it's just an overall amazing performance. The costumes are beautiful, the music is played really well, the set design is super cool, and it's just overall amazing. 10/10 reccomend, so if you're interested I hope you can get it :D Also if you do decide to get ROH Stream or Marquee let me know and I can reccomend a few other things!
also if you can get a better picture of your drawing please post it! I can't see it very well
