Random Thoughts/Things?

Random Thoughts/Things?

I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

Yeeaaah....... I'm going to a photo shoot that I really don't want to be at, wearing something I don't like, at a place I don't like, for a reason I don't like.

Guys I think I've figured out an ADHD hack and that is - listen to choral music when you need to focus.  I know, it sounds insane, but I've gotten SO MUCH work done.

The power of music! I support all kinds of music therapy.

I've had not one, but two dreams about the CB.

Also, does anyone else just write whatever pops into their head as their location? Like most of my posts/comments have absolutely random locations.

Ooh my goodness, I had a dream about the CB a few months ago! All the CBers were in a really cool castle having a feast together :D

Today I participated in a peaceful protest of Israel's "judicial reform".

Does anyone else get a weird sense of déjà vu sometimes? It's not like the "I feel like I've done this before" déjà vu necessarily, but it happens to me when two sounds happen in the exact right order, and this weird wave of familiarity washes over me and leaves me so confused. For example, maybe a car door slamming coincides with a bird call as someone says something. It's so strange . .

Ii don't get that type of de ja vu. But I do get it sometimes when I got to a new place, or even meet a new person. Its really weird.

YES. Not always sound, but when a few events coincide.... it's weird. There's probably some science behind that. *disappears down research rabbit hole*

-Momo by Michael Ende, translated by J Maxwell Brownjohn. This is one of my favorite books ever and it's so meaningful and beautifully written, plus it's exciting, magical, otherworldly, contains dastardly villains, and has all the other qualities you'd expect of a good fantasy novel :)

-Obviously everything of Tolkien's

-the Chronicles of Narnia series, by C. S. Lewis - these are absolutely the epitomy of perfect fantasy. Need I say more?

These are just a few - please tell me if you'd like some more! I love giving book recs :)

most of these books are much... heavier and older... than Poinsettia's and Darkvine's, but they're more what I think of when I hear YA...

- Throne of Glass (series) by Sarah J Maas (not my favorite series, but I know some people who really enjoyed it. It's your choice.)

- Divergent (series) by Veronica Roth (only picked this one up this weekend but it looks promising although I can't really tell)

- Ender's Game (first of a series) by Orson Scott Card

- anything by Leigh Bardugo but especially Six of Crows (first of a series)

- The False Prince (first of a series) by Jennifer Nielson (she has some other good books too, some fantasy and some not)

- The Traitor's Circle (series) by Erin Beaty

and some other favorites that are maybe slightly less YA but I reccomend every time:

- Mistmantle Chronicles (series) by M. I. McAllister

- Septimus Heap (series) by Angie Sage

- Ranger's Apprentice (series) by John Flanagan
