Random Thoughts/Things?

I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

why do girls have to like pink. I mean i am a girl and i love black, red and gray. Pink is my least favorite color. If some one makes me wear it i put on a fake smile and when i get home i BURN it and barf on it.
Who decided that girl have to play with barbies. There was a time i was at the store ( i was like 5) and i went to the action figure section with my sister and dad and there was a mom and her son and she looked at us like " why are you here" and then do you know what she said! she said "the Barbies are over there darling" I WAS SO MAD WHEN I HEARD THIS. ( which was 2 years ago) But any way that is said and good bye

I totally understand. I was just thinking something similar yesterday when I was helping move chairs and cleaning for my church (the rest of the people helping were older guys and at least I felt like they were fairly sexist).

It's so frustrating and damaging to be told something like this, and have it drilled into you for your entire life, especially when all people are so different. Just because your belong to the group of "girls" doesn't mean you have to share all your interests and likes with every/most other people who identify as such. You're different to some people, and of course similar to others. You're a person who deserves to be heard and have your own preferences, regardless of what other people think, and I stand by that.

About the pockets: yeah and some skirts and shorts too. My school uniform has no pockets and its so annoying cuz I can't even wear other stuff with pockets cuz I have to wear my uniform

About pink: I heard that pink used to be a "boys" color, because it was "Strong" and blue was a "girls" color, because it was "dainty". Then somehow it switched. Also I used to like pink when I was really little because it was girly, then I hated it because it was girly, and now I don't really care about it one way or the other. There are some pretty shades of it I suppose, but I agree that it isn't the best color in the world.

To anyone who is reading this: I'd like to ask you how you are doing, because it is important to ask people how they are feeling, and how they are really feeling, because sometimes people don't even know how they are feeling, themselves. When people ask us we just say a default "good". I wrote a whole chapter about that in one of my stories, actually. Anyways, you don't have to go into detail about why you are feeling that way, just what you are feeling.

Personally, I am feeling a bit tense, because I am listening to music and trying to give all my attention to typing at the same time.

Thank You. Just thank you. Someone asking that for real for once feels just...so nice.

I'm kind of confused and anxious. My friend is extremely blunt, and I know that is just them, but it is really hard when I'm talking with them over email, and they said something that was sort patronizing, though I don't know if they ment it that way or not, and then they down right rejected my idea to zoom, and I don't know if they just feel that bad, or if they don't want to do school work (the purpose for the zoom), or if they don't want to see me. And then I told my mom because I wasn't sure what to think, and then she got upset at my friend which was NOT my intent, because I know when your not feeling well you can be grumpy and rude (I can be myself, I just am pretty much asymtomatic - my friend has been feeling pretty bad since Tuesday). And then they emailed me agian today, which signals to me that they aren't mad at me, but I sort of wish I could tell them they upset me, but I don't know how to do that over email and I can't see them in-person until Tuesday. And then, they started a new email thread, and that could be a signal they want to start over this situation and I DON'T KNOW.

I read a quote from Edison today:  "When you have exhausted all the possibilities, remember this: you haven't." That doesn't really make me feel any better.

I'm trying to focus on other friends now, but its really hard to put this out of my mind.

I know why pink is supposed to be the "girly" color. So a while back it actually was a color both men and women enjoyed wearing, and they dressed their children in white. But then stores figured that if parents had to get multiple things in multiple different colors for their children, they could make more money. So they sold "girls'" versions of everything in pink and "boys'" versions of them in blue. And since our brains are designed to recognize and remember patterns like this (which often creates stereotypes), this problem was created.

Also, ugh, girls don't have to play with Barbies! Has anyone ever noticed that if you go to the children's section in the clothing store, the boys have lots and lots of shirts about gaming and the girls have none? I've grown out of this section by now, but I love gaming! It's hardly fair that the girls get stuck with unicorns and mermaids and Disney princesses ALL THE TIME. Shouldn't we get a choice? Come to think of it, shouldn't the boys get a choice, too?!

Sorry that was a rant. It's just something I think about a lot.

UGH I REALLY DON'T LIKE THE FACT THAT SOME STORES DON'T HAVE THE NERVE TO ADD A FEW GAMER SHIRTS IN THE GIRLS SECTION!!!! I GOT MY MINECRAFT ONES FROM THE BOY SECTION AT KOHLS!!!!!! AND THAT STINKS!!!!

@Periwinkle, I agree with you 100%!!!

so yesterday in PE I pulled a muscle in my neck/shoulder/somewhere in between and it literally hurt to turn my head at all but now it's a bit better. Also do any of you believe in supernatural/paranormal stuff, like Bigfoot or skinwalkers? I sort of do, but only if there's proof like a photo that looks real or a video. I've been reading a lot about skinwalker ranch- it's a place with a ton of supposed ufo, skinwalker and other creature sightings. It's really interesting.

Completely changing the subject I had D&D club this morning, but we were missing 2 people so we just did a side quest. Aka we burned down a tavern. Our group is very chaotic
