Winter Solstice

Winter Solstice
Winter Solstice
Yup, today's the winter solstice! On this day, the night is the longest of the year. Historically, many holidays originate around the winter solstice, because the ancients feared the long darkness. That is why Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, and other winter holidays tend to celebrate light. Our ancestors often feared that the winter solstice could be a turning point, where the sun didn't return in the morning.
Anyway, wishing y'all a happy winter solstice and winter holidays! May the sun shine on you again!
