It's my thirteenth
It's my thirteenth birthday.
Yeah.
I'm really exhausted because I went to co-op and then to the monthly homeschool roller-skating thing that I love, annoyed because the dj didn't announce my birthday like I asked her to, (she SAID she would [TWICE]) a little dazed from skating for two hours and seeing my crush, (my new friend nearly gave me a horror attack because I told her who he was and she said "I'm gonna go talk to him!" and started skating over to where he was sitting out of the rink and even though she later said she was just teasing and didn't actually talk to him, she still freaked me out.) and a little depressed about getting older. (I liked being 12. And I didn't get to be thirteen with a bang by having my birthday announced, so.) And a little stressed (and excited) about the party I'm having tomorrow.
This all clumps together to say that since I got up, I've been bouncing between happy/sad/depressed/hysterically happy/crushing on someone and I'm thirteen now, so...yeah.

Ok, I know a lot of thoughts and emotions are going through your head about how everything's going to turn out-but I know that all will work out for you in the end. *Hugs*
And I can definitely understand about the not wanting to grow up part/not wanting to get older... I don't like it either. :( Oh well.
Anyways-*hugs again* Happy birthday Leafy!! You're so amazing!!! :) Can't wait for many more good memories to make with you here on the CB!

Happy Birthday! I would give you advice, but I honestly don't have any. I only recently turned eleven. I'll try though. I'd enjoy myself, and confront someone that you trust to talk about how you feel. I hope this helps!

I know it's kind of scary at first, but remember just because you're thirteen it doesn't change anything. You can choose the rate in which you grow up, really. It's just a number.

@Catsclaw: Yup, that's a compliment. Everyone always thinks I'm older than I am--unless it's in real life, and then I'm just too short to be 15.

@Coroline--yeah, I know you can kind of choose when to grow up, but I'm already just rocketing towards the future and it's not fun.
@AA--again. When I turned twelve, most CBers thought I had been much older. When I turned 11, the first birthday I celebrated on here, a lot of people were shocked. I guess I'm just surprising that way.

Happy Happy Birthday Leafy!!!! Almost 10 months younger than I. Hope your birthday was... enjoyable to say the least. Lucky! I loved the few times we went to a roller rink. Our homeschool group goes to the water park every June, and we always miss it because we always go on some venture across the country or something at that time. Not that the Midwest isn’t cool and all, but that’s just the thing; it’s quite a bit warmer than New York. Is it colder in Maine? I’ve never been there. Did you get anything cool for your birthday? Any..........books? I’ll stop now.
