I was just wondering, do any of you know what an ocarina is? I think Emily L. does, for I brought it to camp, but a bunch of people think it's an instrument from Zelda. Actually, this Irish beauty has been around probably since the middle ages. I have only one, but there's a guy on YouTube with like 7 different ones. Does anyone else know what it is, or even play one?
I used to have a pink plastic ocarina when I was a kid!

Uhhhhhhhhhhh, until recently I thought it was just an instrument from Zelda. That wasn't even real. I barely even know what one looks like, so...

First thing, how do you pronounce it? Second, where would I have heard one playing?
(July 27, 2009 - 10:49 pm)
It's pronounced: ahk uh ree nah. Your music teacher might have one to play for you or that you can play. Or ask at a music store.

For some reason, I've always said 'ahk uh ray nah'. :):) Don't know why...?

Oh yah, what does it look like? I'm trying to think if I've seen/heard/heard-of one. :)
