Chatterbox: Down to Earth

"Are you sure about this?" Icy asked, hints of concern showing through her neutral voice. "I'm fine." The new AE murmured. "Besides, you haven't posted anyth--" The new AE began.

Icy contemplated slamming a hairbrush down onto the coffee table to interrupt the new AE (dramatic, no?), but instead gave the new AE an ice-blue glare. "I haven't posted anything because I care about you." Icy stated. "But you're making Nar-Three hate me!"

"I'm making Thirty put up with you." Icy corrected, beaming as she lifted a hand mirror from the coffee table and turned it on her AE. "Is that good?"

The new AE lifted her eyes to stare at her own reflection in the mirror.

It was almost as if a pallette of the softest blues and purples of sunset had come together to make her hair. It was mostly a stunning periwinkle, yet highlighted with different light blue-purple and purple-blue variations. A few spare words and papers drifted down from her hair as her creation finished.

She lifted a small hand to touch her hair, then reached for the mirror and angled it at herself. Her skin was a lighter, mix-raced tan (nothing gorgeous, just slight tan), and her build was slightly smaller than average. She held herself in a way that made her appear small, slight, and cautious--as if she were fragile and knew it.

Her eyes... She met her own gaze, expecting it to be a beautiful green, blue, or maybe even galaxy. But--they were none of those. She blinked, hoping it would clear her vision and show her what the real color of her eyes were. But no. They were just a plain, dark brown.

"Are you ready for the CB yet?" Icy asked, bringing the new AE back into the present. She gulped. "Yes."

The only thing she needed was a name.
