Today is July 31st, and as all true Potterheads should know, it's the birthdays of both aforementioned people! (Okay, I'm being a hypocrite. I wasn't entirely sure about the date.) 

So this thread is to celebrate Harry Potter! And/or birthdays, which should of course include pie.

I don't know...my thread-making skills are rusty. We could either celebrate Harry Potter and just in general talk about Harry Potter, or we could have a pie war in honor of Harry Potter.

I am so ashamed of myself! I FORGOT HARRY'S BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Hmm, how about a treacle tart war? That always seems to be part of the Welcoming Feast.

As for Snape... oh my goodness, yes. He was such a conflicted, intrugintr character, and reading his past kind of makes me want to scream and cry at the same time. And the part with the doe patronus and the "Always" never fails to make me cry.

Boo says cora. AAAAAAA my baby has a girlfriend named Cora!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure if I would want to eat treacle tart or not. Maybe for the sake of Harry Potter. You guys had better not get it in my face though.

Ha ha, yes! Diabolicalseal and I both forgot but by some magical coincidence we both wore HP merch.

And Snape is such an amazing and complex character. I still get a bit sad...

I have no Harry Potter merchandise, sadly...however, my best friend has a Hogwarts sweatshirt that she wore when she went to see The Last Jedi, which I consider beyond cool. XD

OH MY GOSH I MUST HAVE KNOWN SUBCONSCIOUSLY. Of all the days, TODAY is the day I chose to take my Hufflepuff bag rather than the one I normally take. That is really creepy.

Honestly I don’t think Snape is a villan. I think he’s a jerk who let a childhood hatred cloud his judgment, but he was acctually a good man. And he redeemed himself in my eyes,

My friend believes Snape is the best character, and isn’t a villain, which I agree on the latter, though sometimes he acted like one. I agree with Fireburst as he was simply a jerk because of childhood hatred. Oh, and I totally agree about a treacle tart/pie war

Anyway, Snape? well, that is a big debate between the four main Harry Potter factions in my head:

(Gryffindor faction) Well, he did great injustices, but he turned out all right in the end.

(Hufflepuff faction) He's mean!

(Slytherin) HE IS A TRAITOR TO VOLDEMORT! HE DESERVED HIS DEATH!

(Ravenclaw) Well, that is a philosophical debate that i really do not think has an answer to.

I myself kinda lean toward Ravenclaw's answer, mostly because i'm a Ravenclaw, so i'm kinda prejudiced.
