I would love to meet all of you irl! An outdoor festival setting is what I've always envisioned, with t-shirts and writing and art and just everyone having a good time. Though I know it probably won't ever happen, It would be amazing if I ever met any of you!

Then you can join us, Quirker! I was thinking at each meeting point we could set up a little stall or something outside, with a couple fun things and maybe everyone could bring their favorite books and their sketchpads. As for time, how about sometime around this Labor Day weekend? It wouldn’t be overnight, but probably for a day. (@ Admins, if you want to delete this you can, but please not the whole post as I spent a while on it)

If we ever had a big celebration, then I think all the people who live outside the continental US (I think Lilypad lives in Australia, Kate lives in Hawaii, Kyoto lives in Japan, and Maya P. goes to boarding school in India) would come.

Whoa whoa wait--this has never been a thing before. I think it would be cool to have a CBer meeting or something, but all of a sudden...a CB meetup in less than two months? And I know it's not just me, but I'm feeling a bit left out (which is partly my fault, I guess) because I don't even have NaNo and I don't know when or if I'll be able to join. And two or three CBers meeting up would be fine but if you tried to have a CBcon or something ik a lot of people would be excluded.

We aren't planning one, we're just dreaming up what we'd do if we could. We're not trying to exclude anyone.

That sounds amazing... I've always dreamed of meeting CBers in real life. I guess it isn't really possible.

Didn't the Admins say in the original post that they wouldn't support the discussion of Chatterboxers meeting in real life?? So then why is everyone still making plans and drawing maps and whatnot? 

This is a wonderful thought and of course, I would love to meet you all in real life. But I'm not comfortable with sharing more information about my location other than my state, and as far as I can tell, the closest CBer that lives near me is 1-2 days of driving away. I don't think I could twist my parent's arms enough to convince them to take me on a full-blown road trip to meet some internet friends of mine, even if it is the lovely people of the Chatterbox. 

What you say is right, Vyolette, but I think people are having fun dreaming and planning a fantasy meeting.

Okay, so I talked with Mom, but it really ended up more just a conversation about the CB in general, so I'll talk more with her later. I'll tell you when I know  for sure what's happening. 

We're not going to post any details about really meeting other Chatterboxers. It's just a fantasy thread.
